I have a small list of games that will make me buy a next gen console day 1 and Alan Wake 2 is one of them. Its actually been reported a few times that 2 was finished last year but MS/Remedy put it on hold to launch with the new console.

I think a lot of people will give ext gen consoles a good looking over because of Just Cause 3, its not my cup of tea but has some cool features.

I don't buy any next gen console til it's built up a decent enough library and has had a price drop. Didn't even consider buying a 360 til I seen Fable II and Mirror's Edge.

Got mine at launch with Condemned, Kameo, PDO, PGR3 and Dreamfall The Longest Journey.

The worry this time will be another RROD but its not being rushed out this time.

Nope but its BC so i picked it up as well and i think its still on XBox Originals for 800MSP but its the normal version not the GOTY.

Could the next XBox/Kinect be doing stuff like this? MS to reveal more on it in April.

If used right it could be pretty damn amazing other wise it will just be a mess and an unwanted distraction that would be turned off.

Fucking. Wow. I know it won't be everybody's cup of tea, but imagine the in-game possibilities. It'll blatantly be used for ads on the dashboard and "Freemium" games, but goddamnit, this could be absolutely fucking brilliant.

And to throw in a little "Gaming Thought of the Day" (coz I'm so rebellious I don't need no topic title telling me what I can post and where...) after seeing the Zero Punctuation review, the use of the Wii-U's tablet controller function seems like genius. No doubt that, like this Illumiroom thing, a handful of studios will make excellent use out of it, whilst others will just tack it on because it's a requirement.

I doubt it would be a requirement as you need both a Kinect and a few sites are saying the device on the back of the TV is made by Samsung? But then a few months back some were claiming MS and Samsung had been working together on the next console so who the hell knows?

But if used right the result could be very impressive.

I'd need a round room that has the walls lined with 100% foam acoustic paneling for this, otherwise I'd get pissed off when my drink disappears or if I mistake a big arse laser beam pwning the shit out of me for a waterfall. Still want it though.

If this was Nintendo's idea you'd be ordering a new pair of Sonic the Hedgehog pyjama pants off Amazon coz your load busted so badly your current pair may as well have bathed in cement.
