Platinum games is making better Devil May Cry games than Capcom without the IP. Bayonetta of course and now getting a second. Metal gear Rising in many ways is DMC again re skinned at least much of the gameplay and humor.

Except it is not "humorous", at all. It's batshit crazy, but very serious in its narrative. Play Rising and form your opinion on it. I can definitely say though, that the game is very MGS2 in feel, to me.

personally from what I played I didn't get any MGS vibes from it but I didn't get that far in to it

The final boss is very much a classic Metal Gear villain, he even makes a joke against MGS4. It's my favourite canon Metal Gear game since 3, anyway (Peace Walker was alright; I didn't like 4).

I only did the first level but what I played didn't feel like MGS to me, the gameplay for obvious reasons and Raidens character didn't make much sense considering what he had been through in previous games (self appropriating the title of reaper despite it supposedly haunting him because of his past and him acting all cuhrazy and ready to murder any enemy) the dreamworks cutscenes also looked off in the same way TTS looks off to me. but then again since the game was made by platinum and not written by Kojima himself I guess it's to be expected

It has lot's of sublte humor. The sombaro when cutting those cardboard cutouts of women and other things. The weapon using all those arms

^^I'd love to get the full game+box+manual+poster releases that they make, but those things cost about 100 bucks a pop. A little steep for me.
A cartridge by itself is about 60, so I can deal with that a little better. My Gun Hazard cart is excellent. Had a pretty big glitch in the music during the ending credits, but it ironed itself out in a few seconds.
Trying to decide which one I want next. The three he shows there are all major contenders, especially Clock Tower and Seiken Densetsu 3.

Playing Tomb Raider right now. Very very impressed. This game is amazing. And im saying this with all seriousness.. Its better then Uncharted. And thats saying alot from me. I love Uncharted, but this game makes it look like a cartoon in comparison. Tomb Raider does so many things right that anything I could find to be negative right now would be nit picking on my part.
I recomend everyone play this game who enjoyed any of the Uncharted games or any third person action games in general.

I respectfully disagree, I played it and was extremely unimpressed by everything not related to gameplay.
