That may be so, but a demotion/transfer/token position can be just as detrimental to a career than a flat out firing. I don't think anyone on the Shenmue Dojo needs giving an example of this...

Most famous case of this is Gunpei Yokoi. He created Game & Watch,Game Boy worked on Famicon and Super Famicom created some games and even created Metroid. After he did Virtual Boy he was shamed and not long after he was shoved into a corner to be forgotten by Nintendo. He left soon after and created Wonderswan only to be killed the day of it's presentation. Make things worse Nintendo accepted the award for him at the lifetime achievement award.

Was watching a CGR review and he was playing a game and all the sounds and such reminded me of a noise and one of the only loud noises I ever liked I miss. Arcade sounds. So loud so chaotic so relaxing. I miss arcades. Street Fighter II,Mortal Kombat,Virtua Fighter,NFL Blitz,Virtua Cop,Final Fight,House of the Dead,X-Men,TMNT,Crazy Taxi,Crusin USA,Outrun,After Burner,Outrun,Area 51,Altered Beast,Marvel vs Capcom,Tekken,Die Hard and many more. All goingon at once and a pocket full of quarters plus "Winners Don't Use Drugs" as we were high on a friday night heading to the arcade.

Damn I miss it.
:D

Do the second and third Thief games feature haunted caves with reanimated skeletons? They ruined the first game for me. Killed the immersive atmosphere that I'd been enjoying for the first few levels until they suddenly came into it.

Elsewhere companies have no reservations of using up talent then discarding them like trash.

Aren't Sony still letting people go by the thousands?

^Seems the Japanese work by the idea of letting people go at their various international branches before looking to their own...

probably because it's harder to get people abroad to work 50+ hours a week with no overtime pay

So, Yu Suzuki's pirate-themed game "Gan! Gan! Pirates/Kaizokudan" is on Google Play and iTunes Store (but it is in Japanese).
