I'll admit I didn't like the art style all that much initially, but glancing through the strategy guide/artbook has turned that around.
Might start it soon.

*Sigh*

I'm not the jealous type (at least, I don't think I am) but daaaaaamn I want that game so, so bad, my god. NISA need to hurry the fuck up with Soul Hackers first. Still cool that we're not losing out on any Atlus releases, but still, daaaaamn.

Time & Eternity, huh? That game looks like it has a cool battle system...everything else? Hmmm... [-(

My PSP is back in action, turns out my original charging cable was bad and my battery was busted, so I ended up having to get a new battery for it, and a new charge cable, but now my PSP can charge via the PS3 or anywhere else I choose with a USB port. Hello Tales of Eternia and Breath of Fire III.

New copy:

Not played this in years (since I was in my early teens, I think):

Also bought this, since I love Sakimoto's scores and I think this is one of his best next to Vagrant Story and Breath of Fire: Dragon Quarter:

Picked this up for a total of £14.98/$22.86 in a shop running a "buy one get one free" deal in what should have been a relatively straightforward transaction.

Because the offer stated it was cheapest game free I asked the cashier to ring up the two cheaper games together and the two more expensive games together, simple enough right?

Apparently not, she was quite unwilling to do this and more to the point didn't understand why it made any difference; to this end I let her ring it up together to see if the till would reconcile the price automatically, when it didn't I spent an excruciating amount of time explaining how the possible total was actually half of what she was trying to charge.

Just when I thought she understood, she advised that this would be against company policy, at this point I was weighing up just leaving without the games or buying half now and half a few minutes later; it had just spiraled into this Larry David-esque ordeal, luckily a que had become to form and she conceded defeat.

FINALLY found Bullet Witch used, in really good condition. For the longest time, it seemed like every copy I'd find of it was just about as messed up as possible, so I kept giving it a pass. The one I found today was actually better than just good condition though; it may as well have been new. Even came with the little mini-poster. Been wanting to play the game ever since finding out that not only is it Cavia, but it's actually made by the exact same team that made Stand Alone Complex, one of my favorite last-gen TPS's. And it was hard to pass up the 4.99 price tag.

I should have already had Ken's Rage 2 on PS3, but my fiance is absolutely terrible about shipping things (we're long-distance at the moment). She bought it for me months back for my birthday but still hasn't sent it. I would have even imported it for myself by now, but I didn't want to cheapen her gift for me.
So my anticipation has just been mounting and mounting for this game, so I figured today that I may as well grab the 360 version while I wait. Not sure if I'll play all the way through with this one (I was really excited for it on PS3), but at least I can sate my hunger for it a bit.

Also grabbed a component cable for the 360. Recording purposes and all.

I'm not crazy about the visuals, everything else is fucking great. It really hearkens back to oldschool fallout and is pretty bulletproof in terms of original shadowrun language and lore from what I've played. It actually was able to pull my attention from SMT4.

If this game looked like ShadowRun 96 I'd shit my pants.

Damn, I saw what Segata posted and for half a second thought it was a ressurection of an old MMORPG I used to play called Shadowbane. Ahh, memories.

Is it closer to the MD/Genesis or SNES game? I heard they got the original composers for both games back to compose new material.

Th music is pretty fucking glorious. Its kind of a mix of everything. So far I'd say SNES/Sega CD. Barkly 2 is supposed to play like Shadowrun on MD/Genesis.

^^People rag on it like it's shit, but I always thought it looked pretty cool too. The gameplay looked sort of akin to the 3D Castlevanias. I'd like to get it one day.
