Can never go wrong with Lunar. :) One thing of note with the first Lunar is that there are different labels printed on the disc, descending in rarity. My copy I believe is the second rarest, of Luna looking down a path of mirrors. But I think there are 7 different disc covers in all. Might want to google sometime which disc artwork you got. :) Lunar 2 only had one disc art I believe, and kind of sucks on account of the fact that you need to spend XP just to save your damn game.

Bought XCOM: Enemy Unknown at a thrift store for 3 dollars and then bought Painkiller Special Edition at a used books store, also for 3 dollars.

The HD version of Another World is amazing. I still want to get the complete set one of these days by getting Heart of the Alien for the Sega CD, but this was only 2.99 on gog, so it seemed worth it anyway. This is exactly what I want to see when it comes to HD versions of old 16-bit games. The graphics are exactly the same, except devoid of aliasing, and with some extra details on wall textures and stuff like that. It's beautiful. They should have done this exact same thing with Flashback, instead of making that 2.5D remake a year or two ago. And I'd love to see this happen with a larger variety of older games. It's a totally loving tribute, rather than a reinvention.

And Project Overkill is hard as shit. It was never the greatest game in the world (the controls are very clunky), but it does have some of the most satisfying violence I've ever found in a game. Unfortunately that satisfaction comes at the cost of getting your ass handed to you on the very first level. Feels downright cheap most of the time, actually. But I'm nostalgic for it, so I play it all the same. Hard to actually recommend, but I have fun with it anyway.

That cover is rediculous, but I give you a 10/10 for buying that game. Now go play it 10 times while counting to 10, 10 times every 10 minutes.

I haven't either, but I have to say, a title like "Game of the Generation Edition" seems a little self-aggrandizing, don't it?
And calling it "Gaming's Citizen Kane moment," is just silly, trying to hype it up as high art or something. It looks like a fantastic game and all, don't get me wrong, but from everything I've seen and heard... it's The Walking Dead.

That title is absolutely ridiculous. Fuck The Last of Us. Game of the Generation? Well I wouldnt know where to start on trying to figure out which game should hold that title, but I do knows this, it wouldnt be nearly as hard to pick as the last 2 generations of gaming, so hell it might actually have a chance. Thats a pretty big boast by Sony and Naughty Dog, kinda puts me off from actually wanting to play it, but I had little interest to begin with.

Fuck these ads trying to pass themselves off as cover art. I mean it's all well and good when they're trying to sell you on the product in the store, but that crap is going to be plastered all over it forever even after taking it home.

:rotflmao:
You do realize it's just the work of their marketing department, right? I wouldn't really hold it against Naughty Dog (or the game itself), I just thought it was a silly cover.
