That game isn't coming out in the US until the fall, right?

I haven't played a Yoshi game since Yoshi's Story on that N64 when I was just a kid, and it sucked even then. This game is giving me Yoshi's Island vibes though, which is an all-time classic, so I might pick it up at some point. Probably wait for a price drop though.

Well, I played it when it originally came out but I don't think I understood the game mechanics because I remember not being able to get very far at all in the game. But this time around I'm really loving it. It's a little frustrating since I'm kinda OCD about exploring places and it's hard to get certain places until you have the necessary powerups.

If the other Metroid games are this fun I'll probably get used copies online.

nice dude, probably the best designed game I can think of. The meta-game is also extremely rewarding, since the movement in that game is ridiculously complicated and you can pull of some really cool things when you learn advanced techniques. Plus there are Randomizers (like route/item) and tons of Romhacks on metroidconstruction.net (many of which are extremely well made... and some that aren't, but the site has a rating system).

I'm slightly obsessed with the game, but it's the best game ever so I don't feel so bad :P

As for other metroid games, I'd probably recommend Zero Mission and Fusion (if you want something along the lines of super metroid... although not nearly as deep, still fun to play casually)

I also am really fond of Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, although it plays like a completely different game. Metroid Prime 1 isn't as good, in my opinion, but probably worth playing because its so widely considered a classic. Even if you don't like it you'll gain first had experience/knowledge about a really popular game.

Other M, as you probably know is pretty bad. Most often you'll hear people complain about the story, but the gameplay is the bad part. Just avoid it. I bought it a little while ago for 8 dollars out of curiosity and I regret it.

As for Metroid 1 and 2, they'll probably feel a little dated. I enjoy them for what they are, but many of my friends hate them, so who knows.

Great series, although Super Metroid is a God game, and some of the others are just merely good games.

Other M is an awesome game man. It has its flaws (mainly the story), and it isn't as good as any of the 2D games, but it's still a really fun playthrough that honestly feels more like a Metroid game than the Prime trilogy.

Yesterday I bought a couple Dreamcast games I didn't have: "Flag to Flag" and the Japanese import of "Virtua Fighter 3tb" with the Project Berkley disc.

Most recent before those was probably the NES Remix Pack for Wii U, and Gran Turismo 5 for PS3 (and when I went to play it, I got the YLOD while installing updates...sigh)

About to visit my brother in a few days, and I'm bringing my PS3.
So I ordered a copy of Earth Defense Force 2025 for him, so we can play co-op on separate screens while I'm there.
I don't think he knows anything about the series, so he's in for a treat.

Recently, I bought a physical copy of GTA V and Project CARS.

And I bought a Thrustmaster racing wheel to go with it. (http://www.amazon.in/Thrustmaster-Ferra ... be756f8559)

A few months ago, I bought a GTX 970 too.

Haven't bought any games in a long while, but just got a 3D fighting game itch after looking through some arcade game videos on YouTube. Decided on these:

Image

I owned this a long time ago, like early 2000s when I first got my Dreamcast, so it's really going to be a nostalgia rush when I play it again.

And this one:

Image

(EU version, just couldn't find any decent box art on Google for it). Which I've never actually played before, but looks really intriguing and really different from any other 3D fighting games out there that I've seen. The fighting arena is in this glass cube that both you and your opponent float around in firing energy/lasers/fireballs at one another as well as your usual array of punches and kicks. The games just screams a "1990s idea of the future" [which I have a soft spot for] with its cyberpunk aesthetic, leather jackets, crazy haircuts and has that 90s anime art style too. Just been playing nothing but Shenmue 2 lately on the Dreamcast (up to Kowloon now) and just delving back in to the Dreamcast game library, so, this seemed like, hopefully, a hidden gem. It was a real cheap game too (around 5 quid).

Amazon gave me £10 credit on their App Store for some reason so I've downloaded Crazy Taxi, Total War: Battles and Mickey Mouse Castle of Illusion.

Some nice Sega goodness alongside Chu Chu Rocket and Super Monkey Ball to play with my cousin when I next see her..
