Holy SHIT, this is awesome. Only found out today that Howard Drossin, the composer for Comix Zone way back in the day, did the original soundtrack for the newer Splatterhouse. And that made me interested in hearing the music, of course; Comix Zone had an amazing soundtrack, and I thought it'd be cool to hear Drossin tackle something a little heavier. But man, this is just... this is just great. I wish there were a physical OST release of this. I'd buy it in a heartbeat. I know there's some douchier stuff on the soundtrack too (the licensed vocal stuff), but the original tracks sound excellent.

Was already toying the idea of finally snatching up a copy of this game (been eying it for a goddamn long time anyway), but this track just made it a done deal.
Sometimes it's the little things that push you to finally make a decision.

This plays for a couple seconds when you first boot up the 2010 game, just before the title screen comes up, and I loved the first few notes so much I had to go searching for the full song.
Such a great little retro-arcade tune. I think I know when it plays in the original game (though I've never played far enough to hear it for myself), and it seems pretty appropriate for its scene. Really like this.

Okay, triple-post.
Could never find this on youtube, so I figured I'd put it up myself. Not sure if it'll last; the reason I couldn't find it might be a copyright issue. So it may disappear in a couple days. Hope not.
Either way, easily one of my favorite bits of licensed music in a game. Perfect tune to end Phantom Dust with. Such a simple song, but still so atmospheric and lightly jazzy. In fact, the grand majority of Vincent Gallo's work seems to be kind of like this. So melancholic, it's almost artsy.

Does PC game music count? Oh, well I am posting this anyway...

I LOVE the White Tower music in Lands of Lore.

I always feel in tough areas of games you need to have excellent music and this particular area of Lands of Lore is so frantic, the music just fits in perfectly with the frenetic pace that you will be operating at when you reach this area.

This game is just amazing and the music is just as great to me. From a very fantasy sounding melody to nice but epic feeling vocals. Fits the game so well and fits with the art in the game. Helps with the already nice atmosphere.

I think the soundtrack is what made Sonic Adventure for me. So many good 'uns in that game...

Shit yeah, I keep wanting to get deeper into the Ace Combat series, partly because of stuff like that. The music is phenomenal.

I remember first hearing this about ten minutes after I'd put the game on, and knew that I was gonna like it (despite the weird shooting controls in the first). Very James-Bond-being-chased-through-the-French-Alps-in-the-1980s sounding to me, which fitted the mission statement of the game really well, since you did some pretty outlandish things in it. Very electronic sounding, but love how the string effect lazily takes charge at about the 1:00 mark, and I think that the small but satisfying "drop" right before that is cool too... 8)

I need to play this game. The western and rock mix works so well and reminds me of Firefly. Fuck that is some awesome music. Could almost be a theme for a space western :P

One of Meguro's best compositions, ever. Definitely one of my favourite final boss themes in a long, long time.

Love CoD. Wonderful game but the music like you would expect in a CV game really makes the game that much better.

Going to get Blacklist in a month or two, after the price has gone down a fair bit, but the soundtrack is the best one in a long time, imo. Very dark, intense sounds.
