I can't help but be fascinated and excited by all of these talks off these Japanese devs. I even found out just recently when I asked him what games Yoko Taro worked on at Namco and he told me one of them was Time Crisis 2 and that Cavia was made up of mostly former Namco devs. It sort of makes sense now why Capcom gave them the Gun Survivor series.
Here's hoping Suda does one in the future some time too.

Figured he's more along the lines of the standard male protagonists from the rest of the series, while Milla must be like the required "chosen one" girl that seemingly every Tales game has (though obviously much more competent in a fight). Seemed more natural to see things through Jude's eyes.
Also loved the fact that he's all hand-to-hand. I know it's not considered the greatest of Tales games (and I still haven't finished it) but I remember thinking that the coolest thing about Tales of Legendia was that Senel (the protagonist) was a martial artist rather than a swordsman. I love little change-ups like that, and it's proven to be really fun in this case.
