The only thing mint about my Xbox One is you and Hugh Grants' brother in-law are on my friends list.

XBone is still a solid console aside from Asia, but Axm's comments reminds me of this GameStop's employee story...

haha, that reminds me of the days when there was genuine/endearing/innocent humour on the internet, a time before hashtags and aggressive clickbait, let us journey... ["we're walking in the air"]

So who here has played a substantial amount of Mass Effect Andromeda? I decided to fire it up today because I felt guilty for not giving it a fair shake. I wanted to see if the story would grab me anymore than its failed to do so far.

Does it get better? When? How much time am I gonna have to put in until it really takes off if ever?
Just finding it very vanilla and soulless right now in these first 4-6 hours.

I played it to 100% completion on Insanity difficulty. I'm not sure 4-6 hours will give you much story to go on but I would say that if you are done with the ice planet (Voeld) and still not liking what you are seeing then I would call it quits. I'll just say that in Andromeda the most personal stories (and most diverging branching choices) are in the side missions and not in the main story thread.

If it helps I wrote a review (not much of spoilers in it) on the forum's review topic.

Well this is surprising. New fighting game called Blade Strangers, featuring characters from Code of Princess (never played it), Cave Story (never played it), and...

...Umihara Kawase?!?
Fucking sign me up!
That's certainly a character I never would have figured would ever show up in a fighting game. The game could end up being trash, but I'll buy it regardless. Major soft spot for that series/character.

I'd put this in the Persona 5 thread but strictly speaking this isn't just about Persona 5. So, Atlus has just announced two Persona spin-off games.

Fucking ugh.
And yet, Atlus/Persona fanboys and girls will still probably eat it up, then turn around and shit all over Square when they do similar things with Final Fantasy.

They couldn't just make one mega dancing game? Persona 3/4/5 dancing all together? They split that shit up faster than you can say Supuringu.
I will probably see alot of adds for this at my train station when it comes out. It was a Persona 5 field day over here before.

I'm watching Robbaz playing the long dead on Twich and it seems like a pretty cool game. Nice that there is a survival game out there that isn't in early access and has an actual story. I might try it out if I can acquire it online.

It gets worse over time. There is a significant plot twist halfway through that would make you think the game will pick up, but then it is back to the same ol', same ol', with a bit more shooting.

To be fair though, it actually was in early access and lacked the story component for a really long time (I bought it a couple months ago), until just the other day.
I'd just say it's nice to see a game actually come out of early access for once.
Seems like early access games rarely ever evolve into a "final" version.
