that's right, it's not ok for men to enjoy looking at women and any man doing so should be castrated and sent to Antarctica to extract natural resources for the feminist regime.

This video has effectively made me no longer interested in MGSV. All of that stuff that the jounalists were saying has ended up being true (slow mo instant win button when found, (fast) regenerating health, seeing through walls). Game sure looks pretty though, I'll give it that.

^well at least the exclamation mark is still there I guess. not sure about the superhuman power to see through walls but I guess there isn't a radar to accompany that at least. slow mo instant win QTE and fast regenerating health is kind of bullshit though, a game focused on stealth should punish you for not being stealthy enough, not give you an easy way out.

Another live demo. Shows a mission in the daytime. Apparently, this was from the Xbox showing, but it was demo'ed on a PS4.

They really need to show gameplay on a harder difficulty, there's a lot in this demo I didn't like: Guards can't see two feet in front of them, and slow-motion CQC are two that stand out and others just plain worry me. Regenerating health means five guards can fire at you and you still don't die ( :-s ), if they're alerted to you, basically just shoot your way out.

Did I just describe Metal Gear to you?

Nope, you just described Kojima stealing from shooters. All of that footage at the end of the trailer makes Snake look like an unstoppable menace, looking like The Terminator (all of the enemies running away from Snake). He did say you may be able to turn slow mo and regen health off, but he's unsure yet whether he'll implement it. :/

What's to be unsure about!? I thought these showings were all on Easy/Normal difficulties and they'd be switched off on Hard or above.

Do they still make European Extreme? If I bought this game I was planning to play on the hardest setting to avoid all this gimmick shooter crap..

Well yeah, the fanbase are defending it like "of course it'll be turned off in Euro Extreme if you don't like it"...uhh, I wouldn't be so sure about that.

It is prevalent that Kojima wanted to create more of an interactive movie experience and less of a challenging experience, that is it looks like less as a game.

I hate posts with just a single image or video without any explanation but this one sums up my expectations quite well..

I don't really understand why anyone is complaining about the changes implemented. Metal Gear Solid has always, always been a series that switches things up with every new entry. It ensures that each one is verifiably different from the last. They're never just "expansion packs," as the sequels in many other series tend to be, and they're never experiences that eclipse the earlier entries in such a way as to render them moot.
I don't understand why anyone would go into this one expecting that things would remain the same. They never are.

It's not that I'm against changing things that work, because change is a good thing. It's just from what I've seen it doesn't remind me what I liked about playing these games to begin with. There's no challenge there at all, it looks so watered down..
