Thats not true, ff8 is plenty popular, its just not mega popular like ff7 and ff10

If you did a poll of people's favourite main entry's in the series I bet VIII would be down there with the likes of XIII, the whole junction system ruined the game for a lot of people. I also think that X is much more 50/50 as I see plenty of people say they dislike the game, they seem to either love or hate it. I think if you did do a poll the top 5 would be IV, VI, VII, IX and XII.

You are crazy if you rank 8 that low, dude 6-10 were the series at its peak, all 5 of those games are in the top 5, XII not so much but not far behind, 13 is down there. Here is my list:

forgot to add crystal chronicles for ngc to the stack.
oh well, add to my SHITPOST count! (and that's a good game unto it's own right. a nice addition gba's up to four could be used in a co-op fashion. sad there was no way to have the gba in 1UP mode. great for a menu/map screen, keeping the main screen free.)

dirge of cerberus was a twist alright, and up there with my greats.
the only retail disk for the 7-story i don't have, is crisis core. (got the verified dump)
enjoyed all parts of the story, and gameplay, DIDN'T check for plotholes, life is too short, others can take the baton. (if SD userbase is any indication, and to be harsh in my outlook, i have NO doubts that what i typed will be under pernickety scrutiny, for the perverse pleasure of a FEW...of which i've identified them already.)

FFX was always one of my least preferred in the series. The linear design and voice acting just don't appeal to me.

To be fair the only game in the series that I would say is one I didn't enjoy was III, so the rest is like choosing the one girl who you'd want to fuck at the playboy mansion.

I really like VIII and feel it's more repayable then most of the games higher up my list. There are just stupid thing in it like the orphanage that even at 10 years old I thought was more stupid then a tiny car full of clowns crashing into a pie shop. Even after that there are great moments like Squall in Rinoa in space even if the reason they go is stupid and what happens after is stupid.

Final Fantasy XV Director, Hajime Tabata, has confirmed to GameSpot that fans can expect to play the game before 2017, indicating the game will be released in 2016.

I'm getting an FF8 vibe from that last pic. I like the Aesthetics of the game although I'm still to be convinced on the combat system.

I know a few people had a problem with the combat but did anyone try it after they updated the demo to change a few things? Just wondering if it changed anyone's opinion.

It sounded like the update was set to change a ton. Wasn't it like a couple gigs or something in size?

Either way, whatever people may have said about the demo, I'm still excited for the game. The footage that's been shown (including stuff not in the demo) has all looked pretty exciting, and I still love the whole "four dudes on a road trip" concept they're throwing around.
