I don't feel like doing another "all time" list. I'm just gonna compile a list of my favorite games at the moment:

Yeah, we've had a lot of these over the years. Still, we're a gaming forum. Without further ado, and in no particular order:

Shenmue I & II
Resident Evil 2
Resident Evil 4
The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask
Perfect Dark
Mario Kart 64
Duke Nukem 3D
Grand Theft Auto V
Shadow of the Colossus
Conker's Bad Fur Day

It's always a tough one, to narrow your 'favourite games of all time' down to 10 or any other figure. As always, ask me tomorrow and my answer would be different. For example, sometimes it's GoldenEye, but today it's Perfect Dark haha.

My list can always be boiled down to this; N64 fanboyism, Shenmue fanboyism, and Shadow of the Colossus.

hate these lists because I'm never sure what to put after my top 4 or 5

1- Shenmue
2- Shenmue 2 (I like 1 more than 2, deal with it )
3- REmake
4- Animal Crossing: New Leaf.
5- Sonic 1
6- Mario 3 (all stars version, even though it's nearly identical to the nes game aside from graphics. I just spent a lot more time with this version as a kid)
7- Donkey Kong Country
8- Mario 64
9- Halo 2
10- Sonic Adventure (going off nostalgia here mainly. had trouble getting into it recently when I tried to play)

#5, 6, 7, and 8 are all basically tied
that's just off the top of my head. there's probably some shit I'm not thinking of that I'd replace a couple of these with.

I've started to reject the idea of putting things into some sort of order, I often criticize IGN for doing it, so I'm going to simply list 10 games which I adore. As with most things, it just depends on what mood I'm in.

1st is easy. It will probably always be FFVII, and that's mostly due to timing and nostalgia. 9 others would be (and this isn't easy by any means)

I noticed my list had a fair share of absentees. There's a lot of games from really great series I like quite a bit that couldn't break the top 10. So I'll try to post my favourite series:
1. Shenmue
2. Yakuza (except Dead Souls)
3. The Legend of Zelda
4. Virtua Fighter
5. OutRun (especially the first and 2006)
6. Disaster Report-Raw Danger
7. Metal Gear Solid
8. Space Invaders (especially the first, '91, both Extremes and Infinity Gene)
9. Hotel Dusk-Last Window
10. MSR-PGR (especially MSR and PGR2)

So, comparing to the favourite games list, Shenmue, Yakuza and Raw Danger remain strong, the Virtua Tennis (only 2 is exceptional), Tetris (there are loads of bad Tetris games), and WarioWare (they're great but all too similar) series don't make the grade this time. Neither do oustees Far Cry or Age of Empires.
On the other hand, TLoZ, VF, OutRun and MGS (at least) make their due appearance.
