It's a interesting concept by Nintendo. Hope we get details on the battery life and price in the near future. Haven't owned a Nintendo console since the N64. So if the games interest me I may get this down the line. It's a good business decision for them to combine their two departments into one. I see nothing but positive results to come from that.

If they can show me that they will have a decent online for coop, come out with a fair price and have software to back the thing, then I'll probably get this as a family Christmas gift next year. Definitely looking forward to the new Zelda.

It seems like they might have different types of detachable controllers, that could be a cool idea (but also goes a little against the portable aspect of it).

I don't know, I'm liking this shit. I've been bitching that consoles are just a worst PC in every way, and nintendo just kicked the table again.

Maybe this is the future of cellphones, I'm really thinking of buying it (and I don't even have a ps4 or xbone).

Everyone keeps bringing up first party titles like Mario and Zelda, but what would more likely sell me is a good Monster Hunter game. From what I've been told, it's quite possible that we'll be getting just that.

More than anything, I think Nintendo will need to take a risk with the pricing if they want to sell enough of these things. No matter how sufficient it is for home gaming, people will see it as a portable device, and expect to pay accordingly. A dime over $300, and they'd be shooting themselves in my opinion.

Another thing to have in mind is that the switch will come before all these new weird revamps of consoles, so maybe people will look at these new "whatever 4k or something", different versions and whatnot and they just go "with this at least I can carry it around", or people that already have a ps4/xbone thinking "I can get a whole new system, or a revamp of something I already have", so the half generation stuff the other ones are pulling may be a help for nintendo (hopefully, just tired of half assed trying to be pc consoles).
