Well that's... really, really fucking lazy. At the very least they could treat it like a backwards compatible emulation kind of deal, like what PS4 is doing with PS2 games. Those things look great, and they're just using basic PC-style emulation to make them look a little prettier. She goes on about retaining the animation and whatnot, but upscaling the resolution of a game doesn't fuck with the animations. That's the dumbest excuse she could give for keeping the game in the original 480p. It's just an excuse to put as little money and thought into this as possible.
So yeah, nevermind I guess. No reason to get an Xbox One anymore. Microsoft is proving how little they give a shit about actually getting this whole newfangled "videogame thing" right (at the very least in comparison to the stuff Sony is doing).
Also have to say, total lol at this spokeswoman trying to talk about the game like she's intimately familiar with it. She blames the game's lack of exposure in the west on Majesco not making enough copies (which is silly; it isn't particularly rare by any stretch), rather than on Microsoft themselves for passing up publishing duties. She says it all like Microsoft isn't to blame at all.
Then she goes on about how "no one has ever built a perfect arsenal in the thirteen years the game has been available," like it's some kind of mythic, sought-after thing.
That's just... dumb. There's no such thing as a perfect arsenal. That's not how the game works.
Everything she says just reeks of pre-planned marketing bullshit. Hate listening to people like that talk.
