Surprised there wasn't already a thread for this already (or at least I couldn't find one). Anyways, "Complete list of titles" from Amazon

Alex Kidd in the Enchanted Castle
Alien Soldier
Alien Storm
Altered Beast
Beyond Oasis
Bio-Hazard Battle
Bonanza Bros.
Columns
Columns III: Revenge of Columns
Comix Zone
Crack Down
Decap Attack
Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine
Dynamite Headdy
ESWAT: City Under Siege
Fatal Labyrinth
Flicky
Gain Ground
Galaxy Force II
Golden Axe
Golden Axe II
Golden Axe III
Gunstar Heroes
Kid Chameleon
Landstalker
Light Crusader
Phantasy Star II
Phantasy Star III: Generations of Doom
Phantasy Star IV: The End of the Millennium
Ristar
Shadow Dancer: The Secret of Shinobi
Shining Force
Shining Force II
Shining in the Darkness
Shinobi III: Return of the Ninja Master
Sonic 3D Blast
Sonic Spinball
Sonic the Hedgehog
Sonic the Hedgehog 2
Space Harrier II
Streets of Rage
Streets of Rage 2
Streets of Rage 3
Super Thunder Blade
Sword of Vermilion
The Revenge of Shinobi
ToeJam & Earl in Panic on Funkotron
ToeJam & Earl
Vectorman
Vectorman 2
Virtua Fighter 2
Wonder Boy III: Monster Lair
Wonder Boy in Monster World

I'm happy with them adding Space Harrier 2, Sword of Vermilion, Alien Soldier, and Gunstar Heroes, but I have to say I'm triggered beyond belief that they didn't add the english version of Monster World IV that they released on last gen consoles. If they don't bring back the unlockable arcade games then I'm probably not going to buy it, and in particular I'm really hoping they add the arcade version of Thunder Blade.

... I guess what I'm really getting at here is Sega REALLY needs to release an arcade collection already.

They can still make money off of Monster World IV individually as a digital release, so I wasn't all that surprised about its exclusion.
What I really am surprised by is the fact that, after all these generations and various Genesis/Megadrive collection releases, they've still never included Ranger X even once. Sure, it's not the most popular game, but then, neither are Sword of Vermillion, Fatal Labyrinth, Columns, Crack Down, or Flicky, and those have been on pretty much every compilation like this in the past. At least Ranger X serves as one of the best graphical showcases on the system; just really strange that it's never been included. Such a great game.
Nice to see Alien Soldier, Beyond Oasis, and Landstalker though. And is this the first compilation Wonder Boy in Monster World has been on? One of my favorite games of all time, but I have it in so many other forms as it is (on PS3, Vita, the original Genesis version).

Ranger X is one of my favorite Genesis games. May as well be a 2D sidescrolling ZOE. Impressive 3D effects for Genesis as well. Just beat the game again a week or so ago. At least this one has Alien Soldier. I been meaning to try that.

I wouldn't be as upset if they would at least offer the damn thing on current gen consoles. You're right though on Ranger X's exclusion, it is an extremely impressive showcase for the hardware. The only thing I'd say to that is Columns was pretty pretty dang successful/popular, and Sword of Vermilion is notable for being a console exclusive produced by Suzuki.

Apparently it has something to do with the music rights getting fumbled up after Michael Jackson died.

PS3/360 collection had the exact same games and more didn't it? Treasure games included (Gunstar, Alien Soldier, Dynamite Headdy).

I'll just use that copy.

Not quite, here's the list of Genesis games they added over the last gen collection

Alien Soldier
Bio-Hazard Battle
Columns III: Revenge of Columns
Crack Down
Galaxy Force II
Gunstar Heroes
Landstalker
Light Crusader
Space Harrier II
Sword of Vermilion
ToeJam& Earl
ToeJam & Earl in Panic on Funkotron
Wonder Boy III: Monster Lair
Wonder Boy in Monster World

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sonic%27s ... Collection

So 14 new Genesis games, but it also lost Sonic 3, S&K, and the two Ecco games. We also don't know what unlockable arcade and/or other platform games to expect.

Also, if anyone didn't realise, this game has online play. So i'm personally excited to play Toe Jam & Earl, Streets of Rage and Golden Axe with anyone who's down ;p

Short preview. Bottom row is probably either unlockable arcade/Master System games or
dlc

Really, really hoping it's the former.
