My custom Dreamcast/s! :-)

What's up guys, first off thanks for looking!

This has been a little on going project for a good month now, I've had to ship parts from as far as Chinatown Chicago and Hawaii just for the sake of the right color buttons here or there, so please do take a minute or two and check out what was done.

As most of you know I love Sega and of course my Dreamcast, so this was a project I've been planning on doing for a while now, just needed the money and time.

Here are the steps involved in making it and some of the parts used, please read before looking:

thats awesome, nice work. the first one is the best, the quality looks good enough to be factory made (i'd buy one). the 2nd one is pretty cool, i like the retro look, ive never seen anyone do that.

You mean the blue swirl? I got it with my dreamcast lol. I didnt get a new one or anything i just spent a hell of a long time taping stuff so it would look good. Do US dreamcasts have red logos?

Yep, the logos on US dreamcasts are red.

And damn nice mods there. I will get around to painting my dreamcast eventually...

Thx and yeah pretty much, thought that one was all black, this one has streaks of grey in many places to give a different look. Was just a scrap job, the red was the real effort. Thx.

I personally like the blue swirl best, and i love black systems, maybe ill make a black dreamcast, with a little retroness(white spots on the sysem) but still mostly black....no sega sporst logo, white on/off, casing totally black, only white parts would be the on /off, the trapazoid thing above power light black, open button white, d-pad white, joystick white, start button white, VMU cover black (dont care about VMU actual color), triggers white, DC logo on contr./system white and euro blue swirl, SEGA(instead of Sega Sports) logo below DC logo on contr./system, cont. ports black, contr. wires black, contr. casing all black...and (if possible) little cylinder rectangle box thing at end of wire that insertes into the port white...i think thats all...wonder how i'll do this...first i need an extra DC, heh, a black SSLE one... oh, plays Japanese, European, and American Games...the chips for that will be the hardest...and changing the on/off open push buttons, right?or do they slip off easily when the top half of the case is removed? or the triggers, right?

well, actually that sega not sega sports logo thing will be the hardest, heh, so ill not do that...just a basic DC with color variations
