Assumption, but I've heard another tune that samples the verse but I'm not sure if they removed the backing track digitally or sampled an acapella.

Do you have the instrumental for the song? It might be a little easier to track down and if you can get that its possible to make an a capella from the original song by inverting the phase of the instrumental in an audio program.

Good stuff. Gonna look into this further, I know there are instrumentals out there so this might be the best solution.
