Wow. Fucking incredible episode. So bloody brutal and shocking.

To be honest though, I could sense that Robb was on a downward spiral and just knew that he would lose sooner or later, but that was far more harsh than I could ever imagine it was going to be. Roose Bolton is a traitorous, evil dick. And Tywin Lannister is one manipulative, cunning bastard. And Walder Frey is Walder Frey, surprised they trusted that old crone so much after what they did. Poor Catelyn, she lost so much. And poor, poor Arya, she's going to be even more vengeful than ever now.

MASSIVE SPOILERS: [Theory]
Will Stannis Baratheon's "death list" come true? So far Robb is gone, next on the list is Balon Greyjoy. After him it would be Joffrey. Hmmm...

Preview for next week looks really good. I personally think this is the best Season of GoT yet. I'll be buying and reading through Book 3 after this Season is over.

You might want to hold off on book 3 for now seeing as the 2nd half is in season 4.

Yeah, well that's it, should I wait for the next Season or just read the books? I don't feel like it'd ruin seeing it on the show, since you've obviously read the books yourself, right?

Yeah Ive read them and while it helps me with all the plotting that's gone on this season some things I wish I didn't know.
A lot more happens in the 3rd book that they have yet to show.

Arya's reaction to the RW

It looked at times (to a TV-show-only-watcher) that the entire Stark tribe was gonna get it in this episode, apart from Sansa (for once). Robb and his mum of course. They even shot the fucking wolf without it killing anything first.  Arya inadvertently was in danger by being there too, and seemed determined to prod The Hound into being his nasty self once or twice, also. Jon Snow (more on this in a bit) looked well fucked at that critical point. Bran and Rikon along with the last two vestiges of House stark, Hodor and Osha (was was only really a prisoner-servant to start off with) looked to be in serious trouble at that next critical point.
Glad some of House Stark made it out of there.

Jon Snow. He had quite a few distractions at his advantage, but I thought he stepped his game up and did pretty damned well at damaging the Wildlings who wanted to kill him at that point.

I also hope we get to see Osha spear some goons soon. She has been tame too long, and must have some blood-lust sitting dormant wanting to wake up since she's a Wildling also?

That Jon Snow. Hoes before Crowes. But Crowes before the murdering of innocents.

When Jon Snow advised them against killing the old man at the stable, 'cos they'd send "lots" of Night Watch after them. Tormund was like "good". How foolish they'd have looked if a "lot" DID turn up, since Mr. Snow sliced a few of them up pretty well just by himself.

Also, didn't know that the Warg guy who is sort of Tormund's right hand guy was played by that guy from The Office, though he did look familiar!

I thought he was doing a good job as Orell and would have liked to see him kept alive for a few more season and morphed the role with another.

But don't forget Jon did have help from 2 direwolves ;-)

Yeah, and Ygritte was causing quite a bit of distraction too. I did think it was funny though how his worst injuries were caused by an eagle!

Aye, not so pretty there. Sorta reminds me of Bianca from Eastenders, which is definitely not good...

Still would. But she could do with putting on a stone or 2.
