It's a really good read and it's a great book that drew me in, perfectly shows off the amount of excess in the era of the 80s...and what it was lke being a young man in that era [and how he ruins his life]. It was adapted into a film with Michael J. Fox which I shall be watching after reading this (although, it does actually spoil a few major plot twists from the very beginning, instead of revealing them later on into the storyline).Clint wrote:A Song of Ice and Fire: Game of Thrones
Roughly 60% of the way through on my Kindle. Brillaint read. Recommended for fans of Fantasy and especially Lord of the Rings. It's not as difficult a read as LORT, but in terms of characterization, it's definitely superior. If you're interested in the excellent TV show that's currently on HBO, this book, or show, definitely does the authors work justice.
I want to read the book before watching the series, so by the time the DVD set comes out on DVD, I should have finished book 1 [I'm currently 100 pages into it], Game of Thrones, hopefully. No idea if the series is getting a season 2 based on the second book?
