That's the way I've felt. And even the standout ones, be they VF or SF or SC, I still never had the necessary motivation to master a character's moves. It seems like the payoff isn't worth it

yea all fighter games seem the same not much really separates them

I don't find that to be true. If you had played many fighting games you'd know each one handles differently.

w00t!! Awesome picks, FFVII, RE1, and SHen are my favs of all time. I wish Persona 2 was up there though, sadly though it was sucha rare gem not many played.

To bad I got Virtual On for DC after this post. Thats a fighter that is completely different and now one of my top games.

Virtual On is totally different though. Isn't a fighter in the typical sense. It breaks ground, etc. BTW, the original Virtual On, available for arcade and SEGA SATURN, is better IMO

Virtual On owns, though I see a total need for twin sticks, it's like 2-d fighters on controller.

Yeah I have it on my PC, I like the speed of VOOT though.
