Well my Desktop PC has decided its just not going to connect to the internet anymore. I even bought a new Wireless Adapter installed it and im getting the exact same "limited connection" error on Windows 7. I have no earthly idea what has happened to that computer, I updated AVG to 2015 version, restarted my computer and it hasnt connected to the internet since. Looks like I wont be doing much gaming on it until further notice. Im a bit worried about it right now.

Have you tried going into connection settings and diagnosing connection? Sometimes it can auto resolve issues.

Either it's an issue related to an update you performed or your computer performed automatically (Windows Update) or your network card needs looking at. You can try just rolling your computer back via system restore to a previous date BEFORE the AVG update and see if that sorts it.

Have you tried pinging the connection and seeing what you get back? ANother option is changing the channel, which is normally somewhere in your IP settings (you should be provided with one by your provider like 192.168.etc.etc).

AVG is known to cause all sorts of connectivity issues, especially the auto updates. It can reset wireless security settings to default, change your security type altogether which causes limited/no access, and can make it look like your IP address is invalid when it really isn't. Even worse, it has "security measures" built into it that allows it to change your IP to a private address. Connect your PC via Ethernet and see if you have the same issues. You shouldn't since that will bypass everything security related that AVG can access, while simultaneously ruling out your mobo/NIC in the process. Or remove AVG altogether and try to reconnect using your adapter again. You might have to reset network config in the process though.
