I've been quite saddened by the story of how Alan Dershowitz basically ruined Norman Finkelstein's career just because the man gave him an academic pimp slap. Certain peeps can't handle the truth.

Some kid in my city is making national headlines. 17 year old punched a soccer ref in the head twice which sent him into a coma this past week and died this weekend. Good going kid you just ruined your entire life and that ref's family in shambles.

Gas companies put something in the Gas so you can smell it. But yeah detectors are cheap. Saved our ass once many years ago.

Sat behind the Visitors dugout at Citi Field. Early Birthday gift from my family. I guess they figured good seats to a WhiteSox @ Mets game was a good deal since I can't lose (WhiteSox are my favorite team Mets are my 2nd)

Game was freaking great, went into the 10th inning and Harvey (who is apparently from my neighborhood) almost pitched a perfect game. Santiago makes me happy for the future of the Whitesox, I feel like him, Axelrod and the younger guys the chisox have are more reliable then Peavy and the higher paid "all stars" that contnue to put up losses (though a lot of that has to do with the fact that guys like Dunn are hitting under .200)

Then I saw the knicks and isles won, it was a good day for NY sports (fuck the yankees)

I actually just got home from the Marlins-Padres game. Fish lost, as usual.. I'm a marlin fan so basically fml. But I cant complain too hard, one of my favorite players Yonder Alonso on the Pads had a good game and I wish he was on the Marlins. But it was a fun game none the less. Got great seats on the marlins/home plate side.
Going to the game tomorrow also actually with some friends and we'll get hammered and probably watch the marlins loose again.

Yup, they always come out of nowhere win a WS and go on a fire sale. Honestly dont know why I support such BS sometimes especially with this new ownership, but I grew up in miami till my junior year of high school. So I went to plenty of Florida Marlins games back then, including '97 playoff games before the WS win that year. Back then the whole city was behind them. Then poof gone the next year. Been like that ever since. It's a bandwagon city. Especially with the Dolphins and Heat aswell.
Padres game had like 3 other visible marlins fans.
I actually saw more mets fans then marlins fans there! No lie! I see mets fans at every Padres game lmao!

My uncle lives in San Diego and he goes to a ton of games and he's a Mets fan. Its weird being a transplant sometimes. In NY theres always a decent amount of fans from the other team, I went to a Devils Maple Leafs game and despite there being a ton of Devs fans around the Leafs almost outnumbered them. Also happened once at a Mets Vs Giants game.

No offense but thats something I never liked about miami, it seems like they just roll with the hype and aren't particularly loyal. I've heard some really mixed things about the new stadium too. Hopefully they can get their shit together again.
