That style always to me seemed like the exception not the rule.

moe? it's pretty much been pushed in to nearly everything to some extent or another ever since the otakus started obsessing over it, even Yakuza has moe influence in it (granted to a very little degree but the fact that it's in that sort of themed game at all just shows how mainstream it is)

I don't consider just because big eyes it's part of it. Then again I don't watch a heck of a lot of anime and when I do it's not the bikini pedo masturbation crap.

Big eyes isn't necessarily moe. for example the 10 year old girl dressed like an absolute slut in lost odyssey could be considered moe.

sluts and whores are awesome. you always have to have that "go-to" slut, for when you need that special something.

I finally finished Baki: Son of Ogre, after waiting for 4+ years. OMG what a conclusion.

Is that the same as Grappler Baki?

It comes after that series. It's a super long manga chapterwise, and for a long period of time it halted. I'm not sure it your watched Baki the Grappler the anime series, but if so, you know how suspenseful the ending was, even though it wasn't a cliff hanger. It left you just wanting to see if anyone could ever approach the level of the villain. It was quite jarring- just the entire presence of the supposed "villain." Anyway, the manga finished not too long ago and I hunted down the last couple hundred chapters. I spent and entire Sunday making sure I finished. I had to see what happened to Yujiro. It was unexpected, but did not disappoint.

Ah, so yet again an anime stops half way through a story? I didn't know this particular one did that and that's disappointing. I've seen both series of Grappler Baki but I can't remember the exact ending of the tournament. I'll have to re-watch it...

The tournament is more of a filler, although there are several more scattered out all the way to the conclusion. But if you remember, after the tournament in the Baki the Grappler anime, there are a couple of episodes, or I should say the last 2 episodes of the anime that talk about Yujiro's past as a child and his confrontation with the US government. Those episodes are treated like an unnecessary epilogue, but they are actually very important. The good thing is that the manga picks up right from where the anime left us hanging. You can find the last 300+ chapters on kissmanga. I know after watching the anime again, you will be fired up. It's very realistic, and almost makes you wonder and sort of hope if something like that took place in history.

Oh yeah, I remember that now... I've got quite a lot to catch up on then. Is it in English or Japanese?

It's English. Some of the translation in chapters here and there is comically bad, but not often. I used to read them at OneManga or some site like that, but then they stopped covering the Manga. Kissmanga is pretty good, because I found episodes from the new series of Hajime No Ippo:Rising- one of my other all time favorite anime's.

Which reminds me, I don't think I ever got to finish Slam Dunk... Or Tenjou Tenge... You know, those anime that for some reason finish mid-story... I'm sure there are more.

Wow. I thought I loved Rurouni Kenshin before. After starting the unfiltered series, if it's possible, I love it even more. I also hate the US and what they do to anime even more. The entire series, they would have you thinking Sunosuke is a punk. I'm up to episode 8, and there is so much that did not happen in the filtered version. Ginei is a beast, and Sunosuke gave Kenshin a much better fight in the real show. In the crap that they showed on TV, Kenshin beat him in about 1 hit. The fight did not happen like that, and in fact Sunosuke never lost, he just eventually had a change of heart and quit, then falling to the ground.
