^I don't know. He always loves everything isn't it? And it's always "the best ______ " (whatever dish) he ever had.

Only on the show itself, because he's usually visiting some of the best restaurants in the world. There's plenty of stuff he absolutely hates as well.
He actually wrote a comic mini-series called "Get Jiro" about a warrior sushi chef, and he beheads people with his cleaver when they ask for something as pedestrian as california rolls.
So no, he's very critical about food, he just happens to have some of the absolute best on his show. It's a show about traveling and eating good food, not traveling and hating what you eat.

But it's every single thing, even run of the mill street hot dogs.

It's an entertaining show, and obviously he mustn't like all of what he eats the same way, but I find it irritating that he always loves everything, everything is delicious, best he ever had. It just gives me the impression he'd say it for anything he ate. At least he's happy about it.

You'd be surprised how good some of the stuff you can get at a street vendor actually is. ;-)
He's unpretentious about it, and I really like that. I don't recall all that much "best I ever ate" talk myself, but I may have just missed it. Either way, it's a show more about travel than it is about critiquing food, so that's not what I go into it for anyway.

Sure. He seems to care a lot about the places and the people, as much or almost as much as the food, which is what really sets it apart.

I just watched the two Japan episodes of No Reservations the other day. Those were some cool episodes, but any show he does is awesome. His book, Kitchen Confidential is also really good if you enjoy his humor on the show.

Also, I have been watching Breaking Bad like a mad man lately. I have watched the first two seasons in a matter of a couple days. I just started the third season earlier. I can't stop watching it.

The above argument tops my list for what made me laugh today, but I'm too lazy to post it there.

I wonder if the US show he got recently is on par with this stuff.

This guy has got to be one of the comedy newcomers that has left the worst impression in me for a long long time.
I find the guy incredibly obnoxious, with his overly-girlish delivery and high-pitched voice and I've never been a particular fan of his kind of comedy. It lacks subtlety or wit, everything he says is loud and in your face.
There's just something about him that gets on my nerve...

Just not for me, cause I reckon (judging from his popularity) he's rather famous and enjoyed

That's probably why he was able to successfully crossover to America

I still don't know why Graham Norton's attempt a few years back failed so miserably. I thought his show was great.

Elementary.

Just finished the pilot. I really liked it! The guy who plays Sherlock here is better than the other guy in the BBC show. Still not sure about Lucy Liu as Watson but i'm starting to warm up to that idea.

^Going to wait and watch the whole series in 2 or 3 weeks. I really can't remember much from the last series other then the ending.

Recently finished Community series 2 which is awesome. One of the best comedies on TV.

Watched the first episode of the new series of South Park. Only good bit was Butters everything else dragged on far to long.

Finished the latest series of Family Guy. I've always felt Family Guy has stayed good despite people claiming it's crap now but that last series had a lot of hit and miss episodes.

Also just started watching the last series of The Sopranos.

Currently watching Boardwalk Empire Season 3, Sons of Anarchy Season 5, and Justified Season 1.

Patiently awaiting new Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, Dexter, and The Borgias.
