Man that takes me back. That album was the first mainstream grime release. That album WAS the soundtrack of London in 03 or whatever. I remember hearing some of Dizzee's pirate stuff before he dropped the album, the grime scene was so exciting back then (way better than the garage scene it succeeded), before it even had a name. It had none of the inferiority complex that UK hip hop tends to have too, which was refreshing, it was so English. It was either so so dark and so so hype. Haven't followed Grime much since I was like 17, but the odd tune still does entertain.
