T-0-S-D AWARDS - Quarter 1 2004 (VOTING CLOSED!!!!)

:BIG: HI EVERYONE!! :BIG:

OK, after a short absence, and a chat with James, ive decided to revive the Shenmue Dojo Awards!!!!!!

Now most of you should know how this works, but for those who dont, let me explain!!!

Below will be a list of categories, for you to fill in a name of the Dojo member who YOU, and only you feel should deserve that award, from what youve seen and read in the Dojo,throughout 2004 so far. Now if your not sure on some of the categories, dont be worrying, the Voting of the Awards will last over a period of a week, giving you time to not justthink about your votes, but also so everyone can vote. Things should pretty much be the same from the last awards, but hopefully wel see some new winners and contenders.

CONDITIONS

[b]*Copy and paste the list of categories into your post
* Try to fill in all categories
* You are only allowed to put in 3 members for the 'Best Member' award
* For all other categories just put in 1 chosen member
* Do NOT put down your name for a category. This will not be counted.
* Categories will be up for 1 week (closing date for voting - 20/04/04 at 12.00am GMT, 6pm U.S.A.)
* Think about them and post your results when you're ready, however, do not leave it too long
* Enjoy

What you have to do is COPY and PASTE, the categories below, with the name of the Dojo member who you feel deserves the Award, typed beside the categories. Hopefully this isnt too hard to follow, but if anyone has any trouble, just PM me:

* NOTE, "The James Brown dedicated Holy Trinity" award goes to the member who you think, has the best name, signature and avatar. All three must be taken into consideration.

Well folks thats all the categories, most the same from the January awards, with one or two added.the categories are fun, and remember this is ALL FOR FUN, so no arguments or fights ok! Each categorie will have a hierarchy of 3rd place, 2nd place and the award winner, when the votes are collected and added up by myself. Hopefully, the results should be up very soon after voting has closed, but il make an announcement a day before the presentation ceremony will begin! All winners will recieve a certificate in the form of attachment through a PM, for use as part of their signature, of however they please.

VOTING will commence from NOW, but dont feel like rushing your answers in. You have a week.

Sounds great, but don't you think having it monthly is a bit much? Maybe a member of the month and have the full awards anually....

EDIT : Best newcomer (non - newbie) has been removed. Here i was going for the best ALIAS someone had, either as a member from the dojo, or any other Shenmue fan site. But ive deleted that category, so no worries about that. :-)

P.S. i think im going to host the awards every Quarter. That should be enough time in between! :-p

Ahh, thanks Peter. I was thinking about wanting to do this the other day.
(i will explain each selection, as i put a lot of thought into this)

Most Helpful - WhiteShadow. It is hard to really define "helpful" on an MB, but w.s. always offers advice and solutions to problems. He also is always on top of IP checks when we want them which shows that he is here to help the members. If possible, I also want to vote for Alien Dude, he offered to help me out with some stuff and seemed happy to do it.

Most Friendly - JAPANFAN. Ive never seen Kyle get hot at anyone. good guy.

Best Poster - Kiyuu. Do i really need to explain. This is a shenmue site afterall and she is the best shenmue related poster we have.

Most Informative - Kiyuu. She always clears up ANY misconceptions or questions about the series.

The Most Well Behaved - JAPANFAN for the sam reason i listed above

Best Mod - tough one. I will say WhiteShadow simply because he seems most active and does his job very well.

Sexiest Member - me...just kidding...Santino because he says so.

Funniest Member - TEEPO. I know a lot of people here dont like him, but i laugh at every post he makes. He is a pretty funny guy.

Cheesiest Member - SAJ. For the abundance of espn anime threads.

Most Intelligent - This one is hard. Silas has clearly demonstrated himself to be a very smart guy. Yukio has also made some intelligent posts. Phil of course has proven himself with his interesting essays. The problem is that i have never spoken to any in real life and good grammar is not basis for intellect. I could also say WhiteShadow for his incredible knowledge of computers. After thinking it through, im going to say Phil because he provides original thought for us to ponder.

Eviliest Member - plenty of innactives i would vote for *cough*Louis*cough*, but among the actives i will say TEEPO for his hitler phase

Horniest Member - TEEPO...need i say more

Best Newbie - Peter, Rome deserves an honorable mention, but Peter has become a very good member in a short amount of time.

Coolest Member - tough one, no one here is cool....just kidding. I will say Shozo Mizuki because ive chatted with him and he seems like a cool guy.

Best member to return after an absence - JAUNFRAN. I liked him and wish he'd post more.

Deserves More Respect - Hellraiser. What has transpired at the forums aside, the guy does a good job running the best shenmue fan site around. That alone warrants some respect in my book. (i didnt say most respectable, i said deserves more respect)

Most Creative - hmmm...Yunny for her outstanding photoshop work.
