[Who Really Cares?]

Watched the x-men films this week. 2nd is still by far the best followed by the first then the 3rd in a distant 3rd place and you know somethings wrong when the 1st has better special effects than the 3rd.

Would have liked to have seen the originally planned version.

Still 2nd is still great and i love the White House scene at the start.

Doubt ill bother watching Wolverine again.

Disagree. Honestly I think it's sad some of yesterdays humor is lost on many morons these days. If it's nto a kick to the balls it's not funny. I go watch I love lucy and it's still hilarious. Little Rascals still great. TBH despite the jokes here. My fave humor is the clever jokes they used to do.

For me, most older comedy just isn't funny anymore. Charlie Chaplin was brilliant, and Harry Lloyd was great, but most others always feel like they were trying too hard to me. Stand-up comics from the old days, especially, were just bad.
Ironically, I get some of the biggest laughs out of dramas. Casablanca honestly has some of the funniest stuff I've seen in anything pre-1960s, and it's all because of how clever and well-performed it all was. Claude Rains has been in some wildly classic movies, but he still seems to be a pretty underrated actor.

Totally agree on Claude Rains. He still has one of the best performances in a Phantom of The Opera film.3 of my fave films i think the humor is still great. Singing in The Rain,The Long Long Trailer & No Time for Sergeants.

Huge Gene Kelly fan. Just about anything with him is excellent (though the dance scenes can go on a little long sometimes; they're incredible shows of talent, but I have to be in the right mood for them).

Moonrise Kingdom.

I liked it. Typical Wes Anderson film. But true to his style, some parts were too...weird.

Saw Wrath of the Titans last night.
I didn't like Clash of the Titans. I wanted to like it, but it was just so... blah.
But honestly, this one felt like it remedied everything I didn't like about the first. There's nothing in it that's quite as cool as the image of the Kraken from the first, but the action was far better, the special effects more realistic, and the acting much more effective.
Not an amazing movie, but a fun time to spend an hour and a half nonetheless. Never thought I'd feel this way after the first movie, but I'm actually really glad it got a sequel.

It's still not that good. Damn shame, Ron Perlman is great and looks like the character. And Del Torro's use of prosthetics, makeup, and animatronics is fantastic (if not always effective). I liked the sequel a bit better.

Saw Ringu 2 again the other night. Nowhere near as scary as I remember it being. Japanese horror was a fad, for me. Granted, there was the odd good one here and there, but for the most part, they were overrated rubbish.

Megan is Missing.

Stupid garbage. They took real life kidnapping/murder cases and made a cheaply acted movie based on them. The ending was quite shocking but everything else was terrible. Poughkeepsie Tapes may have been completely fucked up but it was more believable and terrifying than this.

Gattaca. I'm surprised I had never heard of it before. It was on television and I ended up loving it.
