That would be far too exciting. I'm convinced this movie was only made to be played in suicide booths in the year 3000.

You totally shouldn't be. IMDB is a haven for fanboys and pseudo-intellectuals.

The only, and I mean ONE AND ONLY, time this ever gets interesting is when they talk about death. Then this self-loving pompous jackass tries to tie in the only interesting subject with a bunch of preachy anecdotes about Tibetan flags and sitting out in the cold, completely killing anything remotely interesting in one swipe.

That's the big problem with this movie. This actor is so much in love with himself that he thinks his personal stories are interesting enough to hold an entire running time of 110 minutes. They're not. He wanted to write a biography and the guy from the Princess Bride convinced him to do a movie instead. That's why the only reason why it's noteworthy, cause no one else bothered to do something like this. If he did his biography as originally planned, no one would've given a damn.

Actually, a movie consisting of just a two-hour conversation between two guys could be incredibly good, if only they were actually saying something interesting, with entertaining dialogue.
I listened to an hour-and-a-half Kevin Smith podcast the other week where he was talking with someone about everything that was right and wrong with The Dark Knight Rises, and it was all at once interesting and funny.
Clean something like that up, structure it a bit more, and inject some quotable dialogue and you'd have a perfectly watchable movie.
Dialogue by itself can be incredibly fun, provided that it's actually well-written.

Case in point, Quentin Tarantino. He can make a whole movie about two people talking and it'd be awesome.

Been watching/listening to this show since 2006. All they do is jabber at a table for 2 hours. So I know it depends but I watched 2 minutes of that film on youtube and wanted to kill a newborn. The kinda shit my dad would watch and think of it as highly intellectual.
