Season 2 was a bit of a clusterfuck, but stick around for Season 3. It redeems the series and is at least on par with AtLA.

I also finished Night Raid 1931 a couple of weeks ago. Night Raid 1931 is about a small Japanese spy organization based in Shanghai after the Sion-Japanese War, Russo-Japanese War , and World War I. Oh, and the spies have superpowers. It can be a slow burn at times, but the action is pretty good and makes use of the casts' powers well. The anime also surprisingly subverts the typical anime trope of "being in a foreign nation but everyone speaks Japanese."

I've also been watching Parasyte -the maxim-

Something I've wondered for a while...How much of a quality difference is bluray vs. HD streaming on Netflix/Hulu(both on 360)/online? I'm a huge Bebop fan and want the best experience possible. Is it that big of a difference if I watch it on bluray vs. watching it streaming on Hulu? Now I think my TV(which is about 8 years old) only displays up to 1080i. Which I know 1080p is better.

I kinda figure 1080p/i is 1080p/i no matter what you watch it on, but maybe some of you home theater experts could break it down for me. Thanks dudes!

well, yeah. I guess I should have been tipped off to that fact because Korra isn't a G cup wearing hilariously impractical garb for fighting while simultaneously punching innocent male characters mistaken for perverts into the stratosphere.

...Then again, the art style does look very similar to anime, and the adult characters are all bumbling and useless while the young characters are the solution to all the worlds problems. So I think I can be forgiven. O:)

I think it depends on the title. My FMA BluRays look better than whats available on Netflix, there's almost no comparison. But newer releases look identical. So with Bebop it depends on what version they have on Hulu. The first 60 seconds of episode one I was like "this looks no better than the DVDs". Then from the first time they jumped into hyper space till the end of disc one was the best I've ever seen the show. So if you don't own it, the BluRays are the best version you'll get.

Thanks for the info! The first 60 seconds are probably because of the noise if you're talking about the prologue/guns-and-roses scene. Hulu looked pretty great.

Just watched the first season of sword art online.

Really disappointed on how it turned out. I liked it, but it could have been so much better.

so scalett johansson as motoko in the live action american version of ghost in the shell, yay or nay? I think she might be able to pull it off, im not that familiar with her acting but she has taken on some nerdy roles. What are your thoughts on this production in general? Should only japan make a GitS (which would make sense considering its setting?) Will hollywood just fuck it up? Im gonna wait on a trailer, but im optimistically hesitant in the mean time.

I expect it to be terrible like every other live action movie. I might pirate it for johanson's tits though.

Oh, I'd say she's just a teensie bit too, y'know... Caucasian for it.
But hey, who ever gets bothered by whitewashing anymore, right? Sure, a white woman can play a character named Motoku Kusanagi. That makes total sense. And no one will be bothered by that.
Also this is all sarcasm and Scarlett Johansson is overrated and unappealing to me.
