WM17 was the first one I ever saw. Never had cable growing up. Me and my friends were Rock,Stone Cold,Taker fans. We watched WM17 and that match with Rock/Austin was amazing. I never saw a match that good until Taker HHH WM28

Yup. Its sad to see what will become of this form of entertainment over the next 10 years. It will seem like kids growing up over the next decade will watch this era and it will be to them, what "King of the Deathmatch" was to us growing up. The only thing is we didnt have youtube, I can remember reading about KOTD tournaments on my DC internet, and the images shocked me, but intrigued/excited me. I tried to get VHS recordings of them, but i needed a credit card which i didnt have at the time. We can all moan about shit on the TV, and in general media. Heck even pro wrestling has always had its taboos about saying you watch it/support it. But fuck we did have the ultimate era with Attitude, I mean, the only thing that would top it, is a return to Attitude but bigger and more badder, with a future generation of stars who are currently in their teens, if even. This PG era will only end when HHH has enoug board power to do so. Its the only reason i have faith that it can happen. So long as HHH is in there, there can be a future, with both great wrestling and more adult orientated storylines.

And ironically after that match a few days ago, Wrestlemania X-7 was the first ever meeting of Taker v HHH. A fact that oddily enough, was never mentioned in the video buildup to their meeting 2 years ago.


Oh and you guys were talking about crowd pops? This to this day is still the loudest i have ever heard. Its so loud that you cannot hear the beginning of Kanes enterance music. They pop THAT loud!

I would be happy if current masked Kane works half as well as back then. He should talk much less. his character was best when he talked little.

Yeah mainly because he tore his bicep in 2002 and came back slimmer. Just to hard to maintain that figure. While he may never be the monster again. I hope at least now he can still be kick ass and destroy anything in his way just because. He can. I agree it's harder to pull it off when Cena's bicep is bigger than Kanes now.

When Kane made his return in 2003 he did a spin a roonie. Called his fans Kan a nites. That whole year was sad. Thankfully now he is back in form.
