no we haven't run out of petrol, it's just very expensive ( £1 a litre ! ).

Americans should stop driving 4+ litre cars/pickups, Britain should switch to bio-ethonol and buy somewhere no one wants like mauritania, then cover the enitre country in solar panels and send the power back home

anyway... not all europeans are like Teepo (although Bush is a dumb idiot)..... we have plenty of petrol, it was the blockade that could of resulted us to runn dry. Never the less there was plenty of petrol..... just it may have had been blockaded (which it wasnt)

The hurricane didnt cause shit.
All the hurricane did was allow for the oil companies to have an excuse in order to raise the gas prices and price-gaug (sp?) us.

The truth is, the region hit by the hurricane had only REFINERIES, and it accounted for only 15% of where our country's oil gets refined.

So in real life, should gas prices have gone up? Maybe yes, may 5 or 10 cents AT most per gallon, but not the outrageous $1.10 that gas prices went up per gallon. That was just rediculous.
