Kind of surprised that it's actually on Fox, and not the CW. But then, that's probably part of the reason it actually looks decent; the execs at the CW fuck everything up by making it all teen-focused, while Fox is actually capable of genuinely good shows now and then.
I'll definitely be watching to see how it goes.

I'm also surprised its on Fox since this is exactly the kind of show the CW would do. To be fair to the CW, Arrow is supposed to be genuinely good. The first few episodes I've seen are decent, but have a pseudo-realistic Nolan feel to them that doesn't suit Green Arrow. However, I heard later on in the season the show goes full cape and the show becomes a lot more fun.

I saw the latest episode and the one where Barry Allen shows up.

It's a decent show but you REALLY need to get used to the extreme camp factor in order to enjoy it.

Pretty much. And it also has strong OC/One Tree Hill elements like Smallville. Thankfully though it seems to be phasing them out atm. There was a recent episode with a genuinely brilliant scene.

Late 70s Neil Adams' Green Arrow was the best. Beating up pushers and smackheads was it, and with the goatee and all.

These days his and Hawkeye's characters are so intertwined they should just do a fusion dance (although both current comic runs are pretty good)

I prefer the Superman-hating GA w/begrudging respect for Bats GA Post-Crisis/Pre-52. Green Arrow: Year One has to be one of the most underrated/overlooked comics out there. I'd say it's even more enjoyable than Batman: Year One.
