Dino, why are you so racist? You keep pointing out the fact I'm white and you keep saying pale. I don't like that. That's like following a black person around and pointing out the fact he's black or dark.

And you generalise all white people by saying I'm American too, when I'm not! That's the same as saying all eastern Asians are Japanese...

Oh and not to mention the fact you're making fun of Chinese immigrants or Chinese people who are trying to learn English by using that persona.

What's the favor? I've been looking for an excuse to use photoshop more. So you can pm if you'd like help. Plus, it couldn't hurt if multiple people helped and you could pick the best at whatever this is.

I'm just looking to either get rid of or darken the background of a pic so you can't make out details.

That's relatively straight forward:

- Draw around the background with the lasso tool.
- Go to 'Layer'.
- Go to 'New Adjustment Layer'.
- Select 'Brightness/Contrast'.
- Modify the brightness and contrast to your own personal taste.
- Done.

If you don't have PS there is legit free programs that can do what you need for what you want.

Gimp (if you want the full PS alt)

This next one is no where near as featured as Gimp or PS but can do the things you want done as you described.

Paint.net.

Then I think there is a free Trial of PS Elements.

Then of course there is the Pirate way and just get the real thing.

SpringChick I tell you this there is not a better tutor for photoshop than youtube you can learn to do almost anything from there.There are great tutorials there.
