Up to episode 8 of The Wire now. It's weird, the compulsion to keep watching it is a lot more subtle that the usual "end an episode on a cliffhanger" type thing. Since the characters are nearly all so individual and strongly developed, I think there's a sense of just wanting to know more about them that makes me keep watching. I'm sometimes a bit hard of thinking when it comes to following TV shows, but I find this oddly easy. Probably 'cos the crime fighting part of the storyline is so cohesive and has no real bullshit, it's mostly all on-point and put out there nice and clearly for me to take in (Fnaar!). I like the real feel of it, with the cops being full of incompetents and assholes, and they look like ordinary people instead of supermodels and the stereotyped overly confident powerdressed detectives you see on other cop shows who work miracles and always get their man.
9/10 movements of the stash for me so far.
