The Bridge.
Pretty good little murder mystery with a cool twist in the killers ideology. A dead body is found right on the border line on the bridge connecting El Paso, Texas with Ciudad Juarez, Mexico. But it turns out it's not just one body; it's actually the top half of an American judge placed together with the lower half of a poor Mexican girl. Both the Americans and the Mexicans get involved with the investigation, of course, but the killer seems intent on pointing out the hypocrisy of nationalism; how the Americans will run themselves ragged investigating the tiny amount of murders that happen within their own borders, but don't give two shits about the hundreds (or even thousands) of murders that happen just across the bridge in Juarez.
Apparently it's based on some Scandinavian show from a couple years back, which is weird to me because the killer's mindset seems so perfectly fit for the border between the US and Mexico, specifically. But then I don't know much about Scandinavian borders myself, so maybe it's apt in that case as well.

Am I alone in thinking Sons of Anarchy is total shit? I tried to get into it but it's a total fucking cringefest. I can't stand the main guy and his overly cocky swagger and his mum is a proper tool. Count the amount of times she says "shit" in an episode, ridiculous. Even Ron Perlman sucks ass in it. Gah... I fucking hate it!

I know what you mean. Whenever there's a conversation about critically acclaimed TV like Mad Men or Breaking Bad there's always someone that recommends Sons of Anarchy, oblivious to the fact that it's nowhere near the same caliber. It's a definite "smile and nod" situation.

I watched about 4 seasons of it somehow hoping that it would get better before I finally gave up, decent enough premise for a series just horribly executed in almost every way imaginable.

It's one of those shows I want to like so much; it's about bikers for fuck sake. It ought to be badass, right?
Nah, it's just another way-too-dramatic cry-fest.
I watched a bunch of episodes early on and couldn't get into it. Then I tried watching a little further down the line, and it seemed to be the same general stuff.
Yeah, it's not really for me.

Well that's really lame. I thought it'd be a cool show.

I finished Bunheads. Overall I really enjoyed it. It's some of the best writing I ever seen on a show and the ballet stuff was actually really cool. I always thought of ballet as some boring pink tutu tights wearing show that only rich people and Broadway snobs watch. But here it's beautifully choreographed to the point where it's really exciting to watch, it didn't remind me of ballet at all...but it was. So that's impressive.

I am disappointed they won't renew it for a second season. But I can see why.

One of the biggest problems the show had was that EVERYONE sounded exactly the same. Every. Single. Person. They all talk in this very sarcastic, pop culture referencing pseudo-intellectual manner. It was fine for awhile cause it was always witty and entertaining, but when I see kids make references to 1980s TV shows and movies it just killed any semblance of reality the show could've had. Every character has to be different, it's what makes it believable and more entertaining in the long run.

Another huge problem the show had was that lots and lots of things occur...but nothing really happens. It's like the show has ADD, it bounced from one topic to the other so fast that it lost all focus. And sometimes that lead to heart felt moments where I was like "whoa, wait, when did THAT happen?" When the show was focused, it was at its best. Like the Barista episode, THAT was hilarious. More consistent character arcs established at the beginning would've extended its life greatly.

Because they had a set of stories that didn't go anywhere (until the end which was already too late) and everyone sounded the same, the show just ran out of steam. Which is unfortunate since I can tell they had bigger plans based on what they put in the last episode, but they should've had a bigger grip on the bigger picture.

I would like for it to get picked up by another network. But other than that, it was fun while it lasted.

Finished Orange is the New Black. Great show overall but sometimes it can be too unbelievable like the ending to the season finale. Especially since I just found out this was based on a memoir. Still I look forward to the next season, there's plenty of great characters and intriguing arcs that make me want to see more.

As I wait for the next episode of Masterchef, i'll probably just finish catching up on Game of Thrones and Newsroom.

I still havent stopped watching ducktales or rescue rangers, ive watched like 20 episodes of each show. They still hold up to this day. I think duck tales might be a little better, but it has more well known characters in it. RR basically only has chip and dale as vintage characters. Also duck tales initial episodes that tells how the gang got together is a bit more fleshed out than RR as well. Still both shows are still really awesome.

Darkwing is my favorite. I think the darkest Disney ever got with that one was an episode that chronicled an alternate future where Darkwing is driven mad by the death of his daughter and goes on a ruthless rampage to squash all the villains from the show. Permanently. His methods become so extreme and his ideology shifts to such a totalitarian obsession of "lawfulness" that the free people live in fear of him.

Game of Thrones season 2. Gave it a chance since in the mood for Fantasy and Dragons and such. Yeah a bit too dark for what I would prefer but it's much better than the bore fest of season 1 so far. Still too much sex for the sake of having sex to fill the quota on HBO(why doesn't HBO just become a porn channel already) Hoping to see more magic and such later on.
