The Bridge.
Pretty good little murder mystery with a cool twist in the killers ideology. A dead body is found right on the border line on the bridge connecting El Paso, Texas with Ciudad Juarez, Mexico. But it turns out it's not just one body; it's actually the top half of an American judge placed together with the lower half of a poor Mexican girl. Both the Americans and the Mexicans get involved with the investigation, of course, but the killer seems intent on pointing out the hypocrisy of nationalism; how the Americans will run themselves ragged investigating the tiny amount of murders that happen within their own borders, but don't give two shits about the hundreds (or even thousands) of murders that happen just across the bridge in Juarez.
Apparently it's based on some Scandinavian show from a couple years back, which is weird to me because the killer's mindset seems so perfectly fit for the border between the US and Mexico, specifically. But then I don't know much about Scandinavian borders myself, so maybe it's apt in that case as well.
