"Kids are going to believe, one day, that these turtles do exist, when we are done with this movie," said Bay. "These Turtles are from an alien race, and they are going to be tough, edgy, funny and completely lovable."

Even I'm facepalming over that one, and I don't have much love for the turtles anyway, nor do I hate Bay as much as seemingly every nerd on the face of the planet.
It's in the name. "Mutant".
"Teenage Alien Ninja Turtles" just doesn't have the same ring.

been talked about all over the web so I won't go on any long rants. TMNT are my fave heroes ever. I will just say what I have been saying all along. Fuck Bay he sucks not a a single good film to his name and he could not leave one childhood alone to rape. he has to go after another. Fuck it. 1990 movie will be on my DVD shelf. Ignore this garbage.

Word is it might just be called Ninja Turtles.

Also seeing what Bay thought was funny in the Transformers movies i have little to 0 hope about this and expect the US army to be forced down our throats again.

As dumb of an idea it is to put them in space, I'll probably give it a chance. Especially after all the unnecessary Bay drama.

When I look back, the first cartoon was quite a departure from the comic original and was often quite cheesy. Though, to it's credit the turtles show and first movie still had charm and good themes on morality. Kids shows today don't seem to have any of that. When I look at this project though, I see the turtles heading in that exact same direction. I fear it will turn out like The Lorax. Something entertaining that had a good message underneath to begin with only to be drowned out and bastardized by Hollywood into an artificial product placement pushing commercial.

I never really liked any of the Ninja Turtle movies. Regardless, whether they are Aliens or Mutants? That seems like a really dumb thing to bitch about. Who cares?

^ If you said that around me I ant joking I would punch you in the dick.
I could say who gives a fuck about a retard with make up on who cares about Goeman games. Just make Goeman an alien change his origin story. Let's make burning rangers aliens. Stupid concept to make a game about. Oooh firefighters whoop de doo! Yeah who cares. See just because you don't care I do. You don't change the origin story

TMNT are my fave heroes ever. Fucking EVER.
I'm a massive TMNT fan. I have many of the comics, all the films the 80's series, some of the 2003 series...even the next puketation pilot on VHS...god it sucks and of course many figures.
The 1990 fil is awesome. IMO one of the better comic films. II was ok III was vomit
I love TMNT more than Star Trek. I hated Bay anyway so for him to ruin my fave thing ever. He can fucking die.

Also not joking Howard the duck reference is sounding like Bays take.

I found two of my old turtle toys of Splinter that transforms into the Turtle Van and Shredder that turns into one of those drill thingies. :D Best turtle news I've had in months as far as I'm concerned.

Thumbs up for the second half. I love the second movie and like the first, including the CG movie for the most part. It's good stuff growing up to. Also loved the clone stuff like Biker Mice from Mars.

But in the end, it is what it is. It's not erasing the old stuff I like.

You don't change origin stories. People be just as outraged if Batman had super powers. I mean we can say any hero is a dumb concept. A man who dresses as a flying rat? Change Superman a guy who flies in underwear on his outside and no one can tell clark is supes because of glasses. Let's just make him a mutant from ooze. No planet Krypton. He was an accident in a lab. Or hey Clark Kent is a real man and he finds a suit from a crashed slien ship that gives him super powers. Starring David Cage. All super hero concepts when you think about it are stupid and ridiculous. However people grow to love them as anything else. When you have an origin story told for decades. You don't just change it for the sake of changing it.

Well, they did. It doesn't make sense but if that's what they want to do, so be it.

I just checked my VHS copy of TMNT II. It's not disappearing because of this.
