Exactly what I wanted. Big, dumb action with a decent balance of seriousness n laughs. Too bad they look ugly as shit though.

Yeah, honestly... that doesn't look half bad. Good cg effects for the turtles.

Yeah, defo. I mean, I reckon they nailed it with the CG TMNT. If they ran with that it woulda been perfect. The comedy in it was brilliantly balanced for kids n adults, and I liked that it was essentially a sequel to the live action trilogy.

More of a reboot or spiritual successor to the trilogy

The turtles dont look like teenagers, the shredder is white and apparently worked with aprils father so hes not oroku saki like in most of the other turtles iterations (splinter, if hes even in this, probably wont be hamato yoshi either). Certain things looks acceptable, others im not sure, mainly to do with the plot line, it kind of sounds like they are "making heroes" as they said, dont be surprised if the turtles were products of TGRI and escaped, or the mutagen is man made, or they might just straight up work for tgri and are government weapons to fight/stop crime or maybe even something bigger than that. I think either way there is going to be fan backlash, im gonna wait to see what I hear about the movie before deciding if I wanna see it. Im perfectly content with the nickelodeon show right now, so if this sucks I probably wont mind much.

Well, Ra's al Ghul wasn't Arabic in Batman Begins n everyone - expecially the fans - loved it. No yellow suit for Wolverine, yet fans are constantly full of praise for Hugh Jackman. Watchmen was almost an exact replica of the comics, albeit edited down, had more "modern" costumes and a better ending, yet all the fans moaned. So, sticking strictly to the source material obviously isn't exactly what the fans care about. And let's face it, the comics are utter wank anyway, so the further they distance the film's story from them, the better.

Then again, it's "cool" to hate Michael Bay, so people will probably ride that bandwagon til the wheels falls off.

OMG since Ninja Turtles are my favorite heroes EVAR I'm gonna seriously start punching people in the face if they dare suggest my obsession is too childish!! How dare they?! HOW DARE THEY DO THIIIISS?!

....actually, I have some sense coming to me....okay, I'm sane again.

Anyway, it looks okay. Smart move having Megan Fox not say a word. I hope they limit her lines in this, that'd make this movie so much more bearable if she's just standing eye-candy. The turtles themselves look fine and dandy in motion and it looks like they changed stuff from the script I read (thank fucking god for that too). Overall, aesthetically it looks like a Turtles movie.

It all comes down to how the story is gonna be played out (and again, the less Megan Fox says the better).

Man, I remember watching the first two movies on pirate VHS (so they weren't censored) so many times as a kid. Wasn't feeling the third one though.

I could never decide whether I wanted to be Raphael or Shredder more. I think Shredder would have pipped it.
