I can say the Italian sportsmen who participate the Olympic games are much more humble. Besides this, the games are probably the only chance here to see a lot of sports that usually are not broadcasted (again, here we broadcast only football).

good to know Italians have the same opinions as the rest of us about their footballers, Italians just gained a lot of respect in my book with that statement

One of the reasons I like watching. Love the swimming events in particular..

Watched loads again today too. One great thing I like about the Olympics is it actually gets you interested in sports you never watch/thought you would be interested in. At least it has for me this year. I've found myself really enjoying basketball (something which i've played but never watched before) and also the beach volleyball, (mainly the womens for obvious reasons but I actually really enjoy the sport too.)

Anyway I'm really enjoying it so far and it'll only get better for me when the athletics begin.

Ah, the Olympics. My favorite. Works much better than the U.N. I wish the world was always like opening night. London did a great job.

Ah, the Olympics. The time treasured tradition of the entire world coming together to hold hands before trying to spit in each others faces and send symbolic messages to their enemies. I think China was the most hilarious to host the games, doing their darnest to present themselves as an insurmountable superpower, sitting out the girl with the heavenly voice singing the national anthem so a cuter girl could lip sync it while simultaneously going so far as to bribe it's own citizens with payouts of 40x the average yearly pay in China to those that won gold.

...are in london, and therefore all the UKers should know everything about it. So to all us americans and everywhere else, proceed to pester them with questions.

All I care about is the mens basketball btw.

Ruta Meilutyte winning gold in the 100m breaststroke at only 15 =D> Loved her interview after and hope she can handle the fame that's coming her way. Trained in Plymouth.
