Watched it pretty much all day. Rowing, swimming, boxing, basketball and women's beach volleyball. I feel very disappointed that team GB hasn't won a single medal yet but ah well it's just the first day I guess.

I think the idea/concept of the Olympics is really cool. Unfortunately, I can't seem to be all that interested in actually watching it.

I like reading about the original Olympics in ancient Greek times. these days there is just no events that interest me and when something like Curling makes it then I just lose any interest I would have had.

Some modern olympic events are pretty cool and fascinating to watch. I even enjoy watching the winter olympics.

The only thing is I don't have cable or access to TV. Youtube actually isn't very helpful and NBC is officially streaming the event. Though I found one streaming site and now watching the women's swimming competition.

I love watching the Olympics. I find watching people perform at the highest level of their vocation very inspiring.

So far I've been watching women's soccer (football to the locals, I guess. ;), and men's and women's beach volleyball.

Canada's medal count is typically low for the summer games, but I enjoy watching all the same.

hardly watched it so far. Swimming doesn't interest me and that's all I can watch because NBC wants us in the US to pay for the streams of other competitions and I ain't got cable or satellite.

GBs womens football team are better than the men.

Phelps  he was shit.

I enjoy it but i think they are adding too many sports now. Football, Tennis, Golf dont need to be in the olympics IMO. They have enough big events of their own.

^I like the idea of them pretty much having everything.

Not to bothered I sometimes watch bits but I've not been around a TV much when it's been on. It seems at least around here a lot more foreign people have popped up. I drove into town yesterday and pretty much every car in the car park had EU license plates from places like France and Holland.

I also just find it hard to get excited about people going gymnastics with a piece of ribbon on a stick. If I liked these sports I'd follow them all the time rather then get excited once every 4 years.

I love the Olympic games for some specific reasons: these are real committed sportsmen. I'm Italian and I'm tired of our absurdly paid (and spoilt and dumb) football players. I can say the Italian sportsmen who participate the Olympic games are much more humble. Besides this, the games are probably the only chance here to see a lot of sports that usually are not broadcasted (again, here we broadcast only football).
