The latest casualty. I fuckin loved that site n only stopped goin on the forum to avoid TDKR spoilers. I'm honestly devastated.

UPDATE:
Like a phoenix from the flames... if the phoenix went on a yearly pilgrimage which involved walking through said flames...

UPDATE 2: As Rakim says, it's officially back as it's original, glorious self!

I still haven't been able to find a good set of trackers to replace it. Demonoid you will be missed. Sorely.

You know who told me about Demonoid? You did Mitts. You gave me the initiative to set up an account there when it was open at the first of a month and I used that sucker a good bit. Haven't used it for awhile but not having it as an option anymore is sad.

The worst thing is that there are no good alternatives. TPB was the alternative to Demonoid. Their library was just so vast, and the community was brilliant. The fact that there were a lot (and I mean a LOT) of legal torrent files on there pissed me off too. Everything from music to software to games that people had created and used Demonoid as their way of releasing things to the masses... Another option of mine going tits up.

Yeah one more. I heard about this one some days ago I think but already forgot about it. And it's not just the torrent sites. Lots of file sharing sites have also changed (megaupload, rapidshare style I mean). Some already closed down and others didn't even allow uploads at the moment while they're checking laws in the meantime. It's indeed an unwanted consequence that those who do want to distribute their work can't anymore through those channels. On the other hand, there are other sites totally dedicated to sharing for artists. I don't know about alternatives for game developers.

Yeah, but mirror sites are shite. You practically have to rebuild them to gain access to some of the essential features.
