I have a question for Europeans: how and why is France fighting a war in Mali, and the American media has barely mentioned it? We don't even know what's going on, so I'd appreciate it if you could tell me, then I will tell my comrades. For example, why has France received unanimous “understanding and support” from the UN Security Council? What interest does the international community or France have in Mali?

but more seriously they say t's an anti terrorism operation to help the government push out the jihadists and probably because France still has thousands of residents there 8 of which have been taken hostage recently

also apparently the jihadists risk taking over bamako which would mean a terrorist capital close to Europe which no one wants

Even the internet is quiet about this. Where are the international calls for pacifism? Where is the call for universal jihad against France? Why didn't the UN and EU accuse France of neo-imperialism? Even the Arabs are willing to help France! So, I must ask, for perhaps I missed something, but do Aladdin Muslims not care about sub-Saharan Muslims? Only Iran seems to be reading from the old script. What kind of nefarious, no doubt oily, conspiracy is unfolding here?

the malian government made an international call for help to push out the jihadist threat that has already taken over half of the country, as for the gulf region they want extremist groups to die off as far away as possible from their countries as I don't know if you have noticed but djihadist groups are usually amongst the main fighters of the revolutions in the Arab spring, this scares the gulf monarchies to the point where the UAE have recently arrested a bunch of egyptians under the pretext that they work under the muslim brotherhood

There's always a selfish motive behind wars, whether it be land, oil, or any other resource the country is looking for. I laugh at the notion that some of these wars are fought for "freedom"
