TBH, I don't watch the news that much. I get the headlines and the hot topics that day/week, but that's about it (and it does make for a more positive existence, since I don't like being force-fed such negativity). I hadn't heard of this "war" either! You're right KiBa, it does seem to be quiet. Maybe the French have shot the journalists there also, and are only leaking a few vague details, of their own accord?
Or maybe someone, somewhere has put their foot down and decided reporting on this in the traditional way (which is usually done in such a way as to rile nearly ALL Muslims) is not gonna fly this time, so they've gone for a media blackout? I dunno who such a person could be, but they'd have to be very powerful to basically tell the men who rule the world (media moguls) that "Sorry, but you're just gonna have to lose out this time!" and have it stick...
