Not watched it yet and not very hopeful but found out the new series had it's debut last night

Edit the voice of the original Raph is now Donny

Are they still streaming it online at nick.com? I watched the first episode last week. It was pretty decent.

I just finished them. Yeah not too bad. More in spirit of the older series. I think they were trying to appeal to new and old school fans

Show was pretty meh. It had that same kind of bottom of the barrel slapstick low budget cgi feel Garfield had on cartoon network a year or two back. I know it's for kids but shows that dumb it down to the lowest common denominator tend to only last for a season or two. Even WB's turtles was semi-competent in the beginning before they went the turtles in space/time travel route. The only turtles in time I want to see are on the SNES.

Just watched episodes 1 and 2, its different, modern, and will never surpass the original cartoon from the 80s, but I am liking it. 8)

It's so arbitrary... Why not, I don't know, hire the original voice actor of Raph to be Raph!? :???:

He works well as Donny as well.

Donatello is supposed to sound like Dick Grayson or Dr. Egon Spengler. It's just that Raph's voice was and is so distinctive. It would be like casting Kevin Conroy as the new voice of Superman. It's bizarre.

Still, it's cool to hear it again. Maybe he wanted to be a different character, but I look at it like a missed opportunity.

Booyakasha in place of cowabunga... no thanks. Cringe levels are slightly too high, otherwise I woulda given it a chance.

The ads are lame but can't judge by the ads. It was actually enjoyable. It's more light hearted. Closer to the spirit of the 80's show and even the theme song and opening intro has a few references. Granted I'm just a total TMNT fanboy but I went in knowing I would hate this and surprised I didn't.
