Yo Dojo peeps- I'm just about finished a month-visit to China and it's been great. Tomorrow is finalizing packing then the wife and I fly home the following day. I'm afraid that this kind of treatment of bears in Asia is more frequent than we'd like to think. I give to an animal charity who keep reminding me of that fact (updating me on it all the time). So horribly depressing.

The negative press China has in regards to pollution is nothing compared to what's going on in Fukushima right now. Contrary to what Tepco and the government says...the situation is far from being kept under control.

Reuters recently came out with a special report about the poor working conditions at Fukushima.

For sure gents, I'll put up a thread in a few days with pics, impressions and stories. My wife is from Shanghai so we've spent a lot of time with her large family here in Shanghai and in several other towns and cities.

Overall it's been a pretty amazing experience.

LAX shooting kills TSA officer, wounds others

A gunman walked into Terminal 3 at Los Angeles International Airport Friday morning, pulled an assault rifle out of a bag and opened fire, killing a Transportation Security Administration officer at a security checkpoint and wounding two other TSA officers, authorities said.

The gunman was wounded in a shootout with airport police and taken into custody, authorities said. His condition was not disclosed.
