just read about some yobs who attacked jews and a synagogue in north london.

we got some really shitty judges over here who pass weak sentences but i really hope these yobs get a prison sentence.

just so im clear, im not jewish but i would feel the same way if yobs attacked a mosque or church. yob mentality needs to be eradicated.

^That surprised me actually. I don't know why anyone would target the Jews in Stamford hill. They're not particularly wealthy nor cause any problems in the area and even from a political standpoint they don't support Israel (not that I am saying that supporting Israel warrants attacks) so this attack kinda baffles me. What was going through the head of those idiots at the time is a mystery.

There was a documentary I watched on this subject called Chasing Amy that could help you out.

To me it's more proof that being "spiritual" can also be dangerous.

what? what proof is that?

Anything can be dangerous by that logic.

If you substitute proven medical medical treatments with homeopathic hooey and go as far to do it with your kids, that's dangerous. So I suppose based on that, anything that goes against conventional wisdom related to health can be dangerous.

1. Conflating spirituality with homeopathy is wrong.
2. Arguing that "anything that goes against conventional wisdom related to health can be dangerous" is ironically, dangerous.

1. Parents performing faith healing over medical treatment on their kids is one example of what I'm talking about. Maybe I should've been more specific by saying substituting proven medical treatments over unproven nonsense can be dangerous.

2. Keyword = *can

Homeopathy isn't faith healing.

I know you said can, and of course it can, anything at all can be dangerous. But that sentence obviously implies that conventional wisdom relating to health cannot be dangerous, and should not be eschewed for methods that are not currently accepted by the establishment. That is a dangerous way of thinking, in my opinion. Once upon a time Leeching was the conventional wisdom (it's actually also one of the things that inspired the German man who pioneered homeopathic treatment to seek another method of healing). Plenty of conventional treatments are still highly dangerous, and or misprescribed by doctors.

Voodoo dolls, tarot card readings, refusing to walk under ladders or by black cats. It's all the same garbage to me.

And since you're on some sort of nitpicking trip, i'll recant the words "conventional wisdom" and replace them with "proven medical research" since it's much more specific to what I'm actually getting at.
