I was told their chocolate taste sour to us, almost like vomit. I think it has something to do with their milk or something like that.

Lol. Not sure it tastes like vomit, but it does taste pretty... bad.
Hershey bars, I couldn't work out what the fuss was all about. I sent someone in the States some Cadburys Dairy Milk from the UK and they couldn't believe how much different/better it tasted. Do they even use real milk in their products? I know a lot of the European manufacturers do.

Our chocolate isn't particularly great, but its all most people eat in their lives here. I have been fortunate to try chocolate from other parts of the world and you can definitely taste the difference for sure.

If any of you can get your hands on these... well, your hands will be pretty damn chocolately (and delicious) as a result:

I wouldn't say vomit lol. I used to love chocolate as a kid. Shortly after I got out of high school I went to visit my cousin in Germany. Needless to say I can barely eat Hershey products anymore. So bland and tasteless compared to stuff from other parts of the world. There's no standards here when it comes to chocolate.

Yeah, Guylians are the don when it comes to chocolate imo, though I prefer the multi ones with the pyramid, drum, moon shapes, etc.

Guylians are indeed brilliant.

Going to the cheaper end of the scale, I think these are immense;

To say American chocolate is bad based on Hershey's is like saying American Hamburgers are bad based on McDonald's. Hershey's is the junk of America. A more fair comparison would be with Ghirardelli originating from San Fransisco, a nationally available chocolate. That or just buying any non major branded general chocolate from an American grocery store like "Trader Joe's" or "Sprouts" will be better aswell.
But in the end ya, Europe has great chocolate, probably better, but just for the love of god don't base us off of Hershey's.. eww

apparently it has got nothing to do with the brand but rather the standard manufacturing process differences we have. It's kinda like how your bread is incredibly sugary compared to ours but you can't tell because you're simply used to it as it is standard practice over there.

I get what your saying, there is better than Hershey for sure. I was just referring to something common here that people know. Isn't Ghiradelli part of a European company though? It says something on the wrapper but I can't remember what. The sweet shop in my local mall here has them on the shelf with some other companies chocolate. They are pretty tasty though!

Did anyone else go to one of te Stone Roses gigs last weekend? Genuinely surprised to say that it was the best I've ever been to. Public Enemy were sick n'all.

So they found out a vault in a church, after an ex minister from the old goverment was found at 4AM throwing 8 millon dollars in the park of that church and was caught by the police.

You cannot make this stuff up.

And there are still people that believe that the last goverment wasn't corrupt.

My country is a joke.

Also fuck religion.

Went to a wedding last night at a country club called Bel Wood country club. The entire time I kept thinking of Bel Wood Cola from Shenmue.
