I find these guys more terrifying than some crazy killers.

The "normal" guy pretty much says "yeah, it says kill the unveliebers, but give them a warning", I don't think bullshit like this can grow outside religious crazyness, while giving them a sense of moral superiority. Political parties, nations, come and go, but religion is still hanging around, it's a deep rooted mess.

Oh, and let's not forget most goverments not only protect but actually gives religions more privilege than any secular non-profit/organization/particular, and in some cases directly finances them, non directly or helps them with the money collection.

Meanwhile the UN is thinking about taxing videogames that are haram to their stupid (secular) believes.

You're quoting from The Guardian, sometimes they want to make it SO obvious they're "left" that it's unreal.

They even had a column once criticising males for not providing enough of a choice for "educated females" looking for a man. Females with degrees and the world at their feet, yet this paper decided to still somehow turn it into an issue that they could have a little cry about and still make it about "the patriarchy". Kinda patronising too, making it look like these empowered and smart women go to pieces because they're single...

I'm a moderate-left, but even I think The Guardian is a joke of a paper. They are inconsistent too since they were barking about the war in Syria being a great deed by the West! Unreal!

Why not? I think zealots from both sides are equally as bad, so it's not like I judge whether to disagree with things based on where they are in relation to the centre. And sometimes a good idea IS a good idea, and doesn't always have to be judged on who has said it/how it leans politically. I'm generally an equal rights sorta person (within reason), and I am quite anti-war, that's classic "lefty" territory isn't it?
