Plans have begun for Margaret Thatcher's state funeral.

It'll be the first time ever the 21 gun salute is fired into the coffin.

- Stolen from Sicki but yeah, not her biggest fan.

I wasn't even alive while she was in power, so I'm not exactly sure what her politics were.
A lot of people i know who are into politics have told me today that they're not sad to see her go though.

At least she's finally brought great joy to the people of England and Argentina.

if the Argentinians didn't attack the falklands her government wouldn't have gained the much needed popularity at the time

Actually, Thatcher just exploited the situation and played the patriotic card because she knew she was unpopular. Exemplified by the fact that she allowed that ship (the name of which currently escapes me) to be sunk, despite the fact that it was out of and sailing away from the radius that she threatened if any ships were detected within, they'd be fucked (paraphrased). It had more to do with her insidious nature than the behaviour of the Argentines.

I didn't say the contrary, it's clear that she exploited the war for her advantage however it doesn't change the fact that if Argentina didn't chose to invade or at least waited until her government was replaced then we wouldn't have to put up with many of the issues that we still have today created by her

May the cunt burn in hell. Now someone just needs to drive a stake through her chest and surround the coffin in garlic just to be safe.

Has anyone read anyone of the Daily Mail articles, like the one on George Galloway's (appropriately vitriolic and also quite funny) comment on Twitter? Have you seen the mongoloids who comment on that puerile reactionary trash? It really gives you insight into the kind of neanderthals who read shit like the Mail Online.

My mum and dad had their own business from the 60's to the late 90's. Thatcher was and still is a hero to them; they're as working class as anyone and from families full of active unionists, but according to them she helped them as business owners no end. My parents aren't stupid and they're as grounded as they come, so I'm not gonna take all your skewed, pit-based perspectives as anything near gospel.

I wasn't old enough to know what was going down at the time, but as someone who wants to make as much money as possible in my lifetime, I owe her quite a lot for having the opportunity. What I do know about her is that she stuck up for Britain and didnt take any shit, so I'm gonna favour her over any other pussy Prime Minister (ie; America's lapdog Tony Blair) in my lifetime for that alone.

So yeah, go Thatcher, I am one of your children and very proud.
