I didn't even know the young gto mangas had been officially translated from Japanese

Holy shit. That's awesome. I'll have to check this out. Love GTO.

^^The US version's covers look more like this:

Just a heads-up.
This is reminding me I still need to go back and finish that as well... GTO is one of my favorite comics overall, and teenage punk Onizuka was pretty fun from what little I read.

Pro Tip: Avoid playing as imperials. Always fly as an A-Wing.

Just ordered this. Would have jumped at the opportunity to get the original movie on bluray anyway, but it's a nice bonus that the release also comes with the sequel since I never got the chance to see it.
Just can't get enough of 70s Japanese cinema lately.
Criterion did an amazing job distributing all 25 pre-1989 Zatoichi movies on bluray in one set, and now they've got Lady Snowblood 1 and 2... maybe the Lone Wolf and Cub series next?
Fingers crossed.

I was happy when mine got delivered early on Saturday, Amazon has been doing that a lot lately. Quality is amazing as usual. Really glad to get both movies in one set.

I ordered this back in 2014 and it got delayed a couple times. Then Funimation went silent and I forgot all about for a few months. It just randomly showed up in my mailbox today lol

I never did finish Evangelion. I think I saw about 10 or so episodes and lost interest. It was getting kind of ridiculous. The last memory of it back in high school was daddy basically being all like, "no, you don't deserve to pilot the robot, not unless you really really want to" all while Japan is being torn up all around them and the kid piloting it is like the sole thing that can stop it. Seems a bit picky considering the world is being laid to waste.

Toying with the idea of buying a replacement motherboard for a TV.

After doing some research on the fault, all signs point to a burnt out HDMI chip. Found the exact one on eBay for £30.

If mrslig is still around I'll drop him a line for some tech advice.

Replacing the whole board of removing burnt HDMI chip and soldering new one in?

If it's the former, the place where I used to work had a TV refurb line, from what I remember it was a really simple process of removing the case, unplugging all the cables from the motherboard (which on nearly all of them was as simple as it is in a computer, everything is pretty idiot proofed), unscrewing the motherboard from the chassis, then putting the new one in and getting everything back in place. If you're gonna change the chip, well, I can't remember if they were soldered into the PCB or if they had sockets. If sockets, easy! If soldering....over to Mr. Slig!

I'd be replacing the entire board. From researching the problem, people have said they had an engineer out and made a five minute job of it.
